Tsuna's POV
I inhaled greedily the moment that air is once more free to have the second Nagi inject me with my medicine. My raging breath, slowly become even as the massive pain-reducing into a dull ache.
I slowly opened my eyes, concerned gaze came not just from her, but also Taiyo and surprisingly Reborn.
"are you okay, Cielo-san???" Nagi asked, concern obviously lacing it.
Coughing some, I then answered, "I am... T-Thank you for saving me, Nagi..." I forced myself to sit, and with help from her and Taiyo, I succeed. Though, I'm still winching now and then.
"How are you, Tsuna-sensei?" Taiyo asked in worry.
"I'll be fine now..." I said before glancing over Nagi again. "I'm sorry about your brother, Nagi. I failed on protecting him..." I glared at the ground, having no one else to blame but myself.
"Don't worry Cielo-san... I know that Mukuro-nii would understand." Nagi said with a soothing smile. "Instead, he must be glad if he knew that you're fine."
'I know that' but that still doesn't make it right. I sighed.
"Before you ask, I'll tell you first. yes, most of these were planned all along. and I was the mastermind..." I admitted as I eyed him then Reborn.
"for what purpose, Tsuna?" Reborn asked as his eyes narrowed dangerously at me.
"to save Mukuro, from being dragged to Vindicare exactly like what just happened. and secondly, to test our student on whether they're ready for a sudden yet dangerous situation like this..." I explained. "but it went wrong the moment this illness of mine act up" I hissed in anger at myself.
"Illness? what illness?" Taiyo asked again. This time I just remain silent for I see no need for them to know.
"what, you won't tell us?" Reborn eyed me.
Lucky me, that is when the bucking horse and his subordinates choose to show up.
"talk about good timing..." my eyes flicked with amusement as I saw Reborn huffing in annoyance.
The bucking horse asked if I ever need any treatment, but I hurriedly decline. Telling them that I'm fine... even when I know I'm everything but that.
I tried to stand and succeed, but just for some moment before then I fall to my right.
Just then, I heard Taiyo's shriek and Nagi's shocked gasp. "Cielo-san! your arm!!!/ Tsuna-sensei! your leg!!!" they both screamed.
I hurriedly look at my limbs and shocked myself. They disappeared! while my old scars are slowly revealing. "T-This... This is impossible!" I muttered in disbelief.
'why does my disguise wearing off???' I thought in panic.
I then tried to lit up any of my flames, but none of them appeared. This fact shocked me even more.
'This has never happened to me! what's going on???'
just then, my intuition kicking in. I hurriedly took my phone with my remaining left hand then dialed his number with many difficulties.
"Hello there, Tsu-~"
"Shamal! did you put anything on the new medicine you gave me?!" I barked, before the person on the line could even greet me properly.
"well, actually, yes... yes I am... didn't I tell you about it?" He asked innocently.
"Hell no, you didn't!" I shouted. "what did you do?"
"Stop shouting would you? it hurts my ear-"
"Shamal!!"
"Whoa, okay, okay, Jeez. my boy has turned into a grumpy old man." He said but I don't care about the insult, I only care about my answer. "-well, you see. The last time I checked you I found out that, indeed, the poison is immune to my medicine by manipulating your flames to defend itself. so, I added some chemical to neutralize your flames when they're attacking again."
"Idiota!!! you should have warned me about this! Now that I can't use my flames I can't even walk! let alone go to that freaking hell and save Mukuro!"
"what do you mean by that- wait. did something happen to him-?"
Click
I cut the line for I've sick to hear his voice.
My breath is racing and my body is trembling with rage. I really want to scream- no... Rather, I want to cry.
Luckily, I later felt a soft tap on my shoulder that snapped me out of my thoughts. it was Reborn.
"calm down, Tsuna. We can solve this. And I'm sure that Mukuro is strong enough to survive a couple of days. for now, you really need some rest. or else you're getting worse." I catch the worried tone in his sentence. and when I glanced over everyone else, they're gazing at me with the same thing.
I slowly calmed down. "sorry everyone..." I said lowly as I bit my lower lip to prevent my eyes from getting teary.
"it's okay, Cielo-san. no one blames you." Nagi softly said with a smile.
"she's right, Tsuna-sensei. and I think it's probably the best for us to get home now..." Taiyo added, also with a smile.
I nodded. then, I tried to stand. but my one leg has no strength and that caused me to stumble and almost fall forward. Again, I was lucky enough that the bucking horse, Dino, caught me before I hit the ground. He then offered me to ride his back. for this once I accept it with open arms.
"thank you, Dino..." I thanked in a whisper.
"It's nothing, Cielo. I'm more than glad to help the person who has done much for my famiglia" he smiled.
I just nod before then turned to Nagi who seems to be anxious.
"don't worry Nagi, I'll set him free once I overcome this. Besides...I won't let any of my family disappear from me anymore." I said, lowly on the last sentence.
But before I can see nor hear her respond, I gave up on the pain and decide to go for a short nap...
