Family I Never Had ==KHR Fanfic==

~Sequel~

I don't know how long I've been sleeping.

It feels like an eternity which makes me wonder, 'have I finally died?'

but if I have, then what's with all of these noises? asking me to wake up.

Hearing those plea I really want to comply, but didn't I fall asleep for eternity?

How should I get awake from that?

"Just try it, my boy..." a soft yet familiar voice told me...

'A-Aria-san?' I looked around but still can't find her anywhere.

"It's time for you to wake up..." she said again.

"I... I'd love to... but how can I awake when I already dead?" I smiled bitterly as I feel helpless all of the sudden.

"Easy... all you need to do is to open your eyes, and believe in yourself..." she said, then her voice fades out as she said, "good luck..."

then all of the sudden, a blinding light showered me from the above as something seems to pull me into the light...

I don't struggle to get free or anything. after all, 'I'm dead, right?'

smiling bitterly once again, I let my astral body being taken. all I know, I'm ready to be a pawn of fate all over again...

I never thought that I would be greeted by those onyx gems...

Normal POV

a steady beeping sound of monitor heart could be heard in that silent room. a raven kid is seen to change the dried cloth on that particular brunet's head.

Smiling softly, the raven cupped the latter's cheek in fatherly manner despite they looked only 2 years apart.

"Get well soon Dame-Cielo..." the raven said as he was about to leave the other to rest.

However, he stopped on his track when his sharp eagle eyes caught the twitch of that skinny finger.

His eyes widened as it soon locked to the sockets that hide those amber pairs he had missed so much. Waiting impatiently, he hoped that his eyes didn't play a trick on him.

Just then, a silent gasp escaped his lips as his prayer finally got answered...

That petite brunet blinked...

once...

twice...

then he asked, "where am I?"

Tearing up a little, the raven touched his hand, seeking for his attention.

The brunet stared for a while before he then frowns a little, "Reborn? why are you crying? haven't I tell you that you're ugly with tears?"

The Raven, who's now revealed as Reborn, chuckled in relief before then replied to that sarcasm. "Da** you, Cielo... after you leave us for seven years, That is your way of greeting? you know no manner..."

Tsuna or Cielo, smiled back at that, "well, remembering for all that I've been through, I don't think that manners really that matter, right?"

Reborn laughed, his tears have been erased with no evidence, "I guess so..." 

Tsuna also chuckled, before then he turned serious all of the sudden as he asked, "So, how do I survive?"

"Well, about that-..."

~Flashback 7 year ago ~

that blinding light, it came from that orange pacifier that dangling on Tsuna's neck.

no one took notice until a voice suddenly said, "It's not over" it sounded like a woman...

a mystical woman...

-and her saying took everyone's attention immediately...

"The rainbow won't lose their sky, for that's the only way they can shine... Now with the assist of timekeeper, we shall re-awaken the lost soul..." she said as then, all of the Vongola rings and Arcobaleno pacifiers glowed brightly.

Too bright for eyes to bear. and so, all of them closed their eyes...

then as soon as they re-opened their eyes, there lied a baby version of that familiar brunet.

"T-Tsuna-sensei???" Taiyo questioned while the others hurriedly went to the baby's side.

"Now... shall the time heal the rest..." with that last whisper, the sky pacifier landed firmly on the baby's chest.

Everyone was too stunned to say a word. But even so, they could tell that they're happy and relieved. For they are given the second chance to fix their lovely sky...

~Flashback ends~

By the end of his story, Reborn can't help but chuckle as he founds out that Tsuna has fallen asleep once again...

Well, he's trapped in a 7 years old body after all. and Kids like him needs his sleep. especially when he's having a slight fever like this.

So, covering him with a blanket, Reborn then kissed his nose. 

"by the time you reopened your eyes, us your elements will be here to greet you... so rest well our sky... and good night" after whispering that to his ear, Reborn then left the room.

He missed the warm smile that plastering Tsuna's face as he murmured...

"me and Family I never had..."
