Now, This is my favorite part!!!!! XoXo~
I couldn't help it the curiosity was compelling me to ask the question. But the moment I said it I wish I hadn't. Her eyes became guarded again and she sighed, stepping out of my grasp.
"Why am I not allowed to drink?" She looked irritated, but I wasn't sure her annoyance was directed at me.
"No, you know what I mean. I didn't think you did drink?" I spun it into a question and touched her arm slightly showing her I didn't mean to offend her.
She sighed heavily and sat back down on the floor of the platform. "I don't normally."
I frowned and sat down beside her.
"My parents are breaking up." She said it so quietly I didn't know if I heard her right.
"Calla," I whispered sympathetically.
"And it's my fault." Her voice cracked as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Hey, you shouldn't blame yourself." I lifted my arm and wrapped it around her shoulders.
"But it is my fault. I was the one that told her and then they decided to move out here and it's become such a mess!" Her voice raised an octave and she covered her face with her hands. I pulled her closer to my chest.
"Told who what?" I asked confused.
"My father cheated and I walked in on it."
My mouth dropped open a little in surprise.
"And I didn't know what to do and I tried keeping it to myself but Mum needed to know and I had to tell her. And now all this has happened, we moved and now they fight all the time..."
I stayed silent. I didn't know what to say so I just rubbed her back as she put her head on my chest. We sat like that for a moment before she suddenly sat upright.
"I'm sorry. I really shouldn't have brought that up, I'm such an idiot!" She wiggled out from under my arm and a little away from me. I could just make out her wiping her eyes before she began talking again, "You really didn't need to hear that, you don't care about my stupid family problems. I probably just ruined your night. I'm sorry, you don't care – " She was twisting her hands together and speaking so fast. I grabbed her wrists, interrupting her.
"Calla," I had to speak loudly over her. "Stop it!"
She looked up at me sheepishly, her wrists still in my fists, her lips parting slightly, a frown hovering over her dark brown eyes.
"I do care," I started and her frown deepened, "about you."
She stared at me for a moment, searching my face for honesty and I don't know if she found it or not but she must have because her frown suddenly disappeared and she smiled the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. And my face reflected hers with a grin in return. I dropped her wrists and took her face in my hands, her smile faltered as I leaned towards her.
"Stop over thinking," I whispered, smirking before I leant in further and kissed her.
