Chapter 9.

Lunch was after seventh period today because of school reasons no one knew about.

"He what?" Phil stood astounded.

Charlie nodded sadly. "I heard Dan say to someone people in the hallway that he hates you."

"No... Dan wouldn't do that would he?" Phil looked absolutely heart broken. His best friend said that he hated him?

"Apparently he did. He said you were naive, stupid, worthless, and that he didn't know why he became friends with you."

'But Dan is such a nice guy... He can't.. He couldn'tve said those things.' Charlie walked away.

Phil slowly walked into the hallway to see PJ, Chris, and Louise sitting there.

"Phil." PJ jumped up quickly.

"Did Dan really say those things?" Phil was looking down. "Tell me."

"Tell you what?" Louise stood up.

"Did he say I was worthless, stupid, naive, and that he couldn't believe he was my friend." He looked up, eyes filled to the brim with tears.

"No- what- of course not!" Chris stated as a matter of fact.

"Were you around when Dan was talking to Cat."

"Well no.." PJ trailed off.

"Then you don't know what he said." Tears slowly fell from his ocean eyes.

They all enveloped him in a hug. They couldn't do anything else except back Dan up. But from what they could tell, Phil already made his decision.

The bell rang and they quickly walked to their lunch table.

Dan walked out with Tyler.

"Hey Phil!" Dan sat down next to Phil who didn't look up. "Phil?"

Tyler decided to join him today and he took a seat next to Dan.

"Leave me alone, Dan." Phil growled.

"What did I do? Did I do som-"

"YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!" Phil glared at Dan. "Just- Just don't talk to me ever again."

Dan stared for a few minutes. He could feel his eyes start to burn.

"Look I don't know what I did." Dan started.

"Don't start, Dan!" Phil growled, "from now on you can't consider me your friend. I'm done with you."

Dan felt the tears fall from his eyes. Phil kept his glare at Dans tear filled eyes, he started to feel bad but he was too mad to apologize and talk it out. Or he was too stubborn.

"Okay..." Dans voice cracked as he slowly got up and walked to an empty table a few tables down, Tyler following.

"Phil-"

"No, Louise. Don't." Phil stated as he looked up and saw Dan sobbing into Tyler's shoulder.

Dan didn't eat that day.

"In case you didn't look at the list posted in the lunch room, I'm handing one out!" Mrs. Pansino said as she passed a paper around with the roll on it.

Dan sat next to Tyler and Shane in the back row.

"Dan it'll be okay" Shane assured him.

"I don't even know what I did." Dans face was still red and his eyes were bloodshot.
