Chapter Five
"GET OUT!".
I walked out of Adam's room before sprinting to mine and trying to calm down. Paying attention to my room for the first time, I notice that my room is two different shades of purple. Lilac and royal. The furniture is white with a desk area under my loft bed. Boxes were stacked, filled with clothes, bags, shoes, books, and pictures. Having no idea where to start, I just grabbed a random box and opened it, putting away its contents. I worked for about thirty minutes before putting my a phone on my ihome and letting the music play as I continued to work.
Eventually, I heard two knocks before my door swung open anyway. "Hey, Mckenzie? Can we talk?". I turned to face my door and saw Adam standing there, leaning against the door frame, but ready to move at any given moment in time.
"Sure", I said sitting down and bouncing on my bed.
"I am sorry for earlier. I should have expected you to be mad and blame me for it. I probably would have done the exact same thing. I didn't cause this and i didn't want this. Your mother did. Do you forgive me?"
"Only if you can forgive me".
"Sure". i got up and we met in the middle of the room, hugging.
"Do you want some help unpacking or anything?".
"Please". We got to work, unpacking all the boxes and moving things around until it looked absolutely perfect.
