"Marinette!! You're going to be late!!" Tikki hollered at the black haired girl snoring away in her bed.
"HUH?!" She gasped with a start, sitting up.
"You're gonna be late! Hurry!" Tikki squeaked.
"Oh gosh, you're right!" Marinette gasped, jumping out of the bed and running around to get ready.
It wasn't just a regular school day she was going to be late for, today she and her class had to plan for the annual baking festival that would be held in the park. It was a special competition for all the schools, and her family participated every year to help promote their bakery.
"Bye mom, bye dad!!" Mari shouted as she ran out of their home.
"I can't be late. I can't be late," Mari begged on her way to the school. Alya is gonna kill me, she thought.
"Don't panic Marinette, I'm sure it'll all work out!" Tikki said from her spot in Mari's bag.
"Thanks Tikki, You're the best," She smiled gratefully, even though she knew her kwami couldn't see it.

"Girl, where have you been?!" Alya demanded, "The Mayor announced that he was going to specially ask Ladybug and Chat Noir to make an appearance!! It's so exciting, maybe I can get another interview!"
"Huh?! Paris' two superheroes at the baking festival?" Marinette gasped.
"Uh-huh, and guess what else? The Mayor is going to ask them to be judges! Can you believe it? Maybe they'll love you and your parents' treats!"
"That's great!!" Mari said with as much enthusiasm as she could muster.
"Hey dudes!" Nino called coming up to them, and behind him was-
"A- Adrien! H- Hi!" Marinette squeaked, while Alya face-palmed.
"Hey Marinette, Alya. Did you guys hear what the Mayor's planning?!" Adrien said with a huge grin.
"Yeah, Marinette and her family do the competition every year- and we're hoping Ladybug and Chat Noir will try their treats." Alya said glancing at Mari with a smirk.
"Oh, I didn't know that Marinette! I'm sure they'll love it!" He said, "I can't wait to see Ladybug."
He and Nino left before she could get comprehensible answer out.
Now what am I gonna do?
