During the whole contest, Ladybug looked anywhere but at Chat Noir, while he smirked at her from the corner of his eye.
He was so happy. Alya had agreed to send him the video, and his lady had actually kissed him! It was a dream come true!
"And the winners for this year's Annual Baking Contest is-" The Mayor paused dramatically,"Tom and Sabine Dupain-Cheng!"
Marinette's parents hugged each other and beamed, while everyone cheered and clapped. The couple stepped onto the stage to be presented their prize by the two superheroes.
"Congratulations!" Ladybug told them with a smile.
"Best. Cookies. Ever!" Chat grinned.
"Thank you so much!" Sabine thanked them profusely.
"Would you mind if we took a picture with you? We want to show our daughter, Marinette, she couldn't come because she wasn't feeling well." Tom informed them. "She's the best. She has always helped out every year for this."
"Absolutely!" Ladybug and Chat Noir agreed.
"You're daughter is lucky to have such talented parents," Ladybug said with a smile, after they had taken the picture.
"Oh no, we're lucky to have her- she's a one of a kind," Sabine and Tom said in unison.
Chat laughed, and Ladybug giggled, before waving goodbye to them. Crowds began to dwindle, and it was getting late.
"Ya know, we have met Marinette before..." Chat began, not paying attention to his partner's sudden tensing.
"Y-yeah, she's a nice girl," Ladybug said nervously.
"I'm pretty sure I saved her from the Evillustrator- wait. How do you know her?" He peered at her curiously.
"I-I, um... she and I...know each other." She stuttered out.
"Your friends?" Oh no, her eyes widened, what had she done? Well, what's the chance that he actually knows me?
"Yeah, more or less. We know each other pretty well..." Chat stared at her in shock, and she began to back away, "Well! I gotta go, bye Chat!"
With that, she was gone in less than a second.
However she wasn't aware of a certain Kitty cat following her.

"Gotcha!" Chat hollered as he pounced on his lady.
Ladybug gasped, "Chat! What are you doing?!"
He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could- her yoyo started beeping, signalling someone was calling. She answered quickly.
"Mayor," She said in surprise, "How can I help you?"
"Ladybug! There is a couple here that say they urgently need to speak to you, can you come right away?"
"Of course, we'll be right there." She hung up, "Chat, we are not playing 'chase the bug' right now." He smirked at her, "No, but I'm sure you would love to." He jumped off the building, and ladybug followed after him.
When they made it back to the festival, the mayor stood with her parents on the stage. Ladybug stumbled, catching sight of her crying mother and father.
"What's going on here?" she demanded.
"Ladybug! Chat Noir! Thank goodness, if anyone can help- it'll be you." she exchanged a glance with Chat, "What's the problem?"
"Our daughter, Marinette, stayed home because she was sick. But when we got home she wasn't there- no one had seen or heard from her since early this morning, and she wouldn't have wondered off while being sick!" Tom explained.
Ladybug swallowed,"I-I'll look around for her real quick, and then we'll go from there." She told them quickly, not leaving room for argument as she took off.

First Chat finding out about the kiss, then he thinks me and...myself our friends, and now this!
Ladybug called Chat, and waited for him to pick up, "Chat! Tell them I found her- I'm dropping her off back home."
"Purr-fect LB," He said, "As always."
"Bye Kitty." After hanging up, she detranformed. "Oh Tikki, I think I really made a mess of things today..." She sighed.
"It's okay, there were no villains, it could've been so much worse. But you fixed what you could in the end." Tikki said with a smile.
A sound at the door caught her attention, and she quickly ran downstairs. Just as her parents opened the door, she ran up to them. "I'm sorry for worrying you guys. I needed to go get something from the store, and I had to rest for awhile because I didn't feel good," she rambled off to them.
"It's alright," Sabine said.
"The important thing, is that you're safe and back at home," Tom agreed.
"I love you guys," she sighed.
~On the balcony, 10 minutes later~
Marinette stared out at the city of Paris, but couldn't shake the feeling she was being watched. She turned around to go back inside but stopped, she looked up to see a familiar boy with cat ears and a tail crouched on her chimney.
"Chat Noir? What are you doing here?"
