"Hey girls!" I greeted my friends at the French restaurant we love to hang out at.

"Hey, we were waiting for you. Here!" Jamie said handing me a glass of Mimosa after I took a seat. I look at them surprised.

"Ok, what are we celebrating?!" I asked them raising an eyebrow and Jamie giggled.

"Jake ask me to be his girlfriend!!" Angie squealed.

"Wowww! I'm so happy for you Angie!" I said to her excited.

"Cheers to love!" Angie said and we all raised our glasses before taking a sip.

The waiter came with our classic plate of French toasts.

"Oh you even order for me!" I said to them in awe.

"Of course we did, you were taking forever!" Angie said and I laughed.

We had breakfast and chat for a while, making a little update of each one of us lives. After breakfast we split the check and went to our cars.

"Well I see you girls at college." I said while hugging Jamie. "And I'm so happy for you Angie!" I said as I hugged her.

"Thank you!" she said happily and I got in my car, starting to drive to college. When I reached the campus I parked my car and rushed to my building, trying not to be late to class. I was walking through the hallway when I heard someone called me.

"Layla, wait up!" I turned around hoping to see Dylan, but saw Max instead. I got a little disappointed, not because I didn't like Max, but because I was expecting to see Dylan. I really missed him and I haven't seen him since two days ago, when Mauro bring Monica. I know it's not so much time, but it was strange because even when we did not see each other, he would call me to see how I am and talked for a while.

"Hey Max!" I told him as he reached me. "What's up?" I asked him.

"Hey! How are you?" he asked me.

"I'm great, and you?" I asked him.

"Fine, thanks! Hey, Jamie is a good friend of yours right?" he ask me all of a sudden.

"Yes, why?" I ask him raising an eyebrow. He started to scratch the back of his neck and I smile at him.

"You came to me so I help you to go out with my friend?" I asked him smirking and he looked at me blushing a little.

"I mean, I would like to ask her out, but before I do anything I wanted to know if she already has a boyfriend." He said to me. I smiled at him.

"Well, you are one lucky guy, because she is not seeing anyone right now." I told him honestly. "Annnnnd..... I think she might like you!" I said winking at him. His face light up and a smile appear on his lips.

"Really?" he ask me with excitement. I nodded.

"Yeah! Go ask her out!" I encourage him.

"I will! Thanks Layla, I'll see you around." He said waving at me.

"Anytime, and good luck!" I replied to him, before we both started walking in different directions. I stop my tracks and turned around again. "Hey Max!" I called him and he came back to me.

"Yeah?" he asked me.

"Have you seen Dylan? I'm a little worried for him." I asked him concerned.

"Actually, he hasn't hang out with us these days. And when he does his stays quiet and won't tell us what's happening." He explained to me. I nodded.

"Thanks Max." I said to him and started walking to class.

"Hey Layla..." Max said and I turned around to look at him.

"Whatever is happening, it has nothing to do with you! He really cares for you!" Max said reassuringly and I nodded. He smile at me and started walking away and I turned around walking to class.

What could be happening that has nothing to do with me, but has him so distracted and distance from me? During the class I was thinking what could be going on that he didn't want to tell me. I mean, I know his really difficult to open up his problems with others, but he knows he can count with me.... I need to know what's happening to him.

After watching a movie, I help my mom to clean the kitchen and wash the dishes from dinner earlier. I went upstairs and went to my room.

I sat on my bed and took my phone to text Dylan.

Layla: Hey handsome, how are you?

"Layla?" Sofi went inside.

"Hey sweetie, what are you doing up so late? You have school tomorrow." I asked Sofi.

"Can I sleep with you?" she asked me almost in a mumble.

"Of course you can baby! Come here!" I said patting my bed, gesturing her to lie down next to me. She came and cuddle really close to me, giving me her back. I lie next to her and started caressing her hair until she felt asleep. After a while, I checked if she was asleep and grab my phone from the night stand. I look to see if I have any messages from Dylan and made a little frowned when I realized I didn't have any new messages. I carefully got out of bed with my phone on my hand, trying not to wake Sofi. I walked out of the room and stop in my doorframe. I looked to both sides of the hallway to see if anyone was there. When I confirmed that no one was out I went downstairs and sat on the kitchen stool. I look at my phone for a while not knowing if I should call Dylan or not. Forget it, I'm calling him. I dialed his number and press 'call'. It rang several times. I sigh and was about to hang up when Dylan pick up the phone.

"Hey babe." Dylan said in a whisper.

"Hey handsome." I replied.

"Is everything alright babe? Its late." he asked, with a little concerned in his voice.

"Yes, I'm okay. Sorry to call so late, I just wanted to know how you were, I haven't known from you in a while." I told him sweetly.

"Don't worry babe! And yeah, I know I haven't been around a lot lately, I'm sorry. It's just that I'd been a little busy." He told me in a low tone.

"Dylan, what's going on?" I asked concerned. "You've been distant from me and won't talk to me. Are you mad at me or something?" I asked him curious.

"What? Noo! I'm not mad at you. I'm just busy and had a lot of things to do, that's all. Really beautiful, I'm okay." He told me, obviously trying to convince me, but lying. I sigh a little frustrated that he was so stubborn.

"Ok." I simply said. "Good night Dylan." I said in a serious tone.

"Good night princess." He replied to me and I hung up. I went upstairs and got into bed. I was really frustrated that he didn't trust me enough to tell me what was happening to him. I put my phone in my night stand and went to sleep.
