Layla's P.O.V.
I woke up this morning, not really in the mood to do anything. I looked at my phone to see what time it was, 8:30 am. Great, that means I'm alone and have the whole house for me, and I could do whatever I want, which is nothing. I took a shower and brushed my teeth. I put on a pair of shorts and a tank top. Then I went downstairs to be greeted by Mauro on the kitchen.
"Aren't you supposed to be at work?" I asked him looking at the time on the stove clock. He nodded.
"Good morning to you too sis!" he said sarcastically and I rolled my eyes.
"Good morning." I replied to him.
"And I got the chance to get to work at 10:00 instead of 8:00." He explained to me and I nodded. "I made some coffee if you want." He said.
"Yes! Thank you so much!" I said to him as I serve myself a cup of coffee.
I made two toasts with butter and walked to the living room to eat my breakfast while watching some TV.
Then my phone started to ring and I picked it up seeing that it was Jamie. I won't lie I was expecting to see Dylan's name on my phone.
"Hello." I said.
"Hey Layla!! I have to tell you!!" Jamie said from the other side of the line excited. She was practically shouting and I thought she would leave me deaf.
"Hey, what's going on that you're so happy?" I asked her laughing.
"Max and I had a date last night, and he is sooo sweet and dreamy!" she said happily.
"Really? Did he finally ask you out! Well, it was about time!" I said to her getting excited too! She told me everything that happened last night and that they have a date tomorrow night.
"Well I'm really happy for you Jamie! Max seems like a really nice guy and you are a wonderful girl, so you deserve it!" I said to her honestly and happy for her.
"Yeahh thank you Layla! Now we can have a triple date!" she said excited and I remembered what I told Dylan about having a break and started to get depressed again. "Well Layla, I'll call you later because I have class now. I just wanted to tell you everything!" she said still excited. I let out a little laugh.
"Okay Jamie, and have fun tomorrow on the date!" I told her excited.
"Thanks, bye!" she said excited and with that I hang up. I placed my phone on the couch and continue watching TV as I finish my coffee.
"Are you going to stay all day just sitting around and not doing anything?" Mauro asked standing in front of the TV in the living room.
"Please Mauro, not today!" I said to him and he walked to sit on a free spot on the couch I was lying.
"Do you want to come with me to my work? Maybe you could clear up your mind a little bit and be in a different environment." He suggested. I shook my head.
"Thanks Mauro, but I'm not really in the mood." I simply said politely to him. He sighed as he stood up from the couch.
"Well, fine. I'm going off to work then! But get that lazy ass of yours out of that couch!" he said to me before kissing my forehead. I looked at him with a serious expression.
"Look at that happy face! I bet it's because Monica is going to be there!" I said teasing him making him blush.
He chuckled and shook his head and walked out of the house to go to work.
I watched like two movies. Then I decided to move my lazy ass as Mauro told me to distract myself for a while. I put the living room stereo loud enough for me to hear the music through the house. Then I started to clean the house. When I was at the middle of the cleaning process I heard my doorbell rang. So I stopped what I was doing and went to the living room to turn off the stereo. Then the doorbell rang again. "Coming!" I shouted as I started to walk towards the door and opened it. Who could be here? "Dylan?!" I asked confused, looking at him standing on my doorstep.
