Layla's P.O.V.
Today I don't have classes, but I have work. I haven't known a single thing about Dylan since yesterday after we fight. I was still angry with him, but at the same time I was worried for him and wanted to be there for him. I know something was going on, I know it. That's the only reason Dylan would act that way. He wasn't a violent person, and he does not like to fight for no reason. And much less be a trouble maker guy! But I was tired of being pushed away, when all I want to do is help him and be there for him. If he wants my support, he will have to come for me, because I'm not going after him to end being pushed away and hurt.
"Layla!! Earth to Layla!! Hello!" Mauro said moving his hand side to side in my face to get me out of my thoughts. I shook my head slightly to get back to reality and looked at him.
"What?" I simply said, sounding a little harsh, even though that was not my intention.
"Ohhh, someone's on a mood today." Mauro said putting his hands in the air in defense playfully. I just rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Sorry. You were saying?" I asked him so he could continue explaining whatever he was talking about.
"In two weeks is Monica's birthday and I would like to give her a great gift.... So I was hoping you would help me." He simply said with a genuine smile on his face and making me smile. He was really happy with her and you could see he was falling hard for her too. I nodded slightly smiling at him.
"Of course I'll help you big bro!" I said to him and he hugged me, taking me by surprised.
"You're the best sister on the world!!" he said excited as he hugged me and kiss my forehead. I let out a laugh.
"Yeah, I know." I said smiling. I stood up from the kitchen stool and started walking towards the stairs.
"Hey, you're not getting anything for breakfast?" he asked me a little confused. I NEVER SKIPPED BREAKFAST!
"Nah, I'm not that hungry." I simply said as I continue walking upstairs and get inside my room. I looked in my closet for my work uniform and put it on my bed, when I heard a knock on my door. I look to see who it was, and there was Mauro.
"You again?! I told you I was going to help you with Monica's present!" I told him playfully. He chuckled while getting inside my room anyways and sitting on my bed.
"What's going on?" he asked me ignoring my playful comment and getting more serious.
"What are you talking about?" I asked him confused.
"You know. What happened between you and Dylan?" he asked me. I got serious too and sit next to him. I stayed silent for a couple of seconds before I answer him.
"We just had a fight..." I simply reply, making Mauro rolled his eyes.
"Every couple have fights Layla. It's not so big of a deal." He said trying to comfort me.
"No Mauro, it's a different thing." I said to him with a sigh. He looked at me as waiting for me to explain. "I'm not like this for the fight, I'm like this for the reason of the fight. I'm so tired of feel pushed away and like an outsider when it comes to Dylan. Every time that something personal happens to him, he will get distant and won't tell me what it is. He won't let me help him, he will just step away for a while and when he fixed everything, he comes back. Did you get me?" I asked Mauro and he nodded placing his arm around my shoulder and dragging me towards him.
"Layla, sometimes we are act that way because our ego don't let us tell others what we are going through. And we prefer to just solve everything by ourselves. If his distant with you because of his problems, it means you are not the problem and that he's not angry with you." He comforted me.
