Layla's P.O.V.

So today was Saturday of...... cleaning the house! Sofi was in charge of the dirty laundry. Mauro and dad will make the patio. And my mom and I were in charge to vacuum and mop the two floors of the house. After we all finish our chores we went all to the kitchen to have some lunch. c

"Mom, I'm starving!" Mauro said.

"Even though Mauro's always hungry, this time I agree with him." I said to my mom.

"Me too!" Sofi said rubbing her belly. My mom and dad look at each other and laugh.

"Ok, what about we make a tray of different things for all of us! Because it is too late to have lunch and too early to have dinner. If I make dinner now, Layla won't eat again in Dylan's house and that's rude, and Mauro is going to be hungry in a couple of hours again and I'm not going to cook twice." My mom explained to us knowing us too well. Well she's our mother, how she could not possibly know us! We all nodded at her little speech and help her out making the appetizer tray for all of us. We made a tray that has mozzarellas sticks, hot dogs, pizza bites, mini cordon blue, and french fries. After we finished making the tray we all prepared our beverages and went to the living room to eat the appetizers while watching some TV.

"Layla, you should start getting ready. Dylan's going to pick you up in two hours." My mom informed me and I nodded standing up from the couch and taking all the glasses and dishes to take them to the kitchen. I cleaned all the dishes and went upstairs. I took a hot shower and put a towel around my body, to go to my room and find something to wear for tonight. I opened my closet and looked at my clothes, not knowing what to wear. Then I heard a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"It's me honey, can I come in?" my mom asked from the hallway.

"Yes mom, come in." I replied to her. She came in and looked at me sitting in my bed looking at my closet.

"Not knowing what to wear, huh?" she asked me smiling and raising an eyebrow. I just nodded and chuckled.

She went to my closet and took out a cute blouse I have. "What about this one and some jeans?" she asked me holding the blouse by its hanger in my direction. I just looked at the blouse and then at her.

"But mom, should I go in some jeans or a little more fancy?" I asked her unsure.

"Well, you can wear this beautiful, comfy and simple dress you have here!" she said taking the dress out of my closet.

"Isn't too much to go on a dress?" I asked her unsure again. My mom laughed.

"Sweetie its fine! You wear what makes you feel more comfortable. Besides, you have to look presentable to meet his parents!" she said excited and winked at me. Now I remember that I'm going to meet Dylan's parents, and that made me more nervous. "Honey, don't stress." My mom said seeing my panic face. "They are going to like you, just be yourself, you are an extraordinary girl!" she said hugging me and kissing my forehead. I smiled at her.

"Thanks mom." I said smiling.

"Anytime, sweetie. Now I'll leave you, so you can get ready before Dylan gets here to pick you up. This is so exciting!" she said clapping her hands excited as she walks out of my room and close the door after her. I just laughed at her excitement about it. I mean, I think she was more excited than me, and that was a lot to say because I was really excited! I decided to put on the dress. I did my makeup, my simple-natural-look makeup and put on some sandals. I put on some perfume and heard another knocked on the door.

"Come in." I said and Mauro came inside, sitting in my bed looking at me.

"You look nice sis!" he said to me smiling.
