Mia pov
I could feel the wind whip around me as I ran. I didn't stop. Why would I? I wasn't sure how fast I was moving but the surrounding forrest blurred past me in an instant.
Turning my head I looked behind me. Man he just won't give up. I had to admit he was pretty fast was and had some good endurance to be able to keep up with me sense I was an elf. We were known to be agile and quick.
The clearing was up ahead. Sweat beads formed on my forehead and my lungs were burning with determination. I was about 15 feet away from the clearing when a sudden force took me off my feet and left me tumbling to the ground. I grunted as my body slammed into the forrest floor.
"Damn women you are faster than I thought." He breathed out heavily. I could feel him bend down and whisper into my ear. "I still beat you. Not sure how but I did. You owe me 20 sovern."
I squirmed under him so I was laying on my back. I looked up to a smirking, sweaty Grayson.
"Fine. I thought I had it! The clearing is right there!" I pouted.
How is that not a win?!
I squirmed trying to get out from under him. He had all of his weight on my and just sat there grinning at my struggles. I managed to feet my arm out and I elbowed him where the sun don't shine.
Take that!
He bend over covering his manly bits and rolled off of me mumbling incoherent words.
"What was that for!" He glared at me.
"You wouldn't get off! You asked for it." I got up and skipped past him into the clearing. He followed behind me, glaring holes in my back.
"Here you are. Next time we race, I chose the reward for winning." I dig the money out of my pocket and handed it to him. He gave me another death stare and I smiled at him. He did ask for it.
Time skip
"Armen I swear to the goddess! Get that away from me!" Drakes yells could be heard from outside. Me and Grayson were walking back after spending some time in the city after the race.
Earlier today we made a bet about who was faster.
A loud crash echoed from the house. We just looked at each other and started walking faster. Another screaming plea from Drake begging Armen to get away could be heard followed by a bunch of laughing.
We made it to the steps and opened the door. In the kitchen where the laughs were coming from was Drake standing on the kitchen counter in the corner looking terrified. In front of him was a giggling Armen. He turned around and saw us. Mischief was written all over his face.
"Armen...." Grayson had looked back and forth between the two. I couldn't tell what was wrong until Armen showed us the huge iguana in his hands.
Oh my god. He did not. Drake backed up farther into the corner as he could. There was some things on the floor which in guessing fell off when Drake jumped on the counter. Drake hated lizards.
Armen slowly extended his arms out to drake bringing the lizard closer.
"Armen stop! Get that thing away!" Drake slapped his hand out trying to shove the lizard away. He closed his eyes and looked away as he tried so desperately to smack the lizard away.
What's with everyone wanting to mess with each other today?
Me and Grayson busted out laughing.
"It's not funny!" Drake whines made him sound like a five year old.
"No it it's not funny... It's hilarious!" Grayson was right. I could see the glare Drake have us and I imitated it only making Armen and Grayson laugh more and earning a glare from Drake, a more pissed glare to be exact.
"Ok Armen I think he's had enough."
"What Grayson no!" I blurted between laughs. My stomach had hurt so much from laughing. Armen backed away and Drake still didn't move.
"I hate you guys so much..." He jumped down cautiously and glared at Armen.
"No ya don't. You love us!" Armen chirped still holding the lizard.
"Come on Armen lets go out this outside." Grayson's bad Armen both walked outside. It's just like the good times.
"Uh I don't feel-" Drake mumbled as he stumbled forwards.
I stepped forward to make sure he didn't fall. After I helped him regain his balance a weird feeling came over me for a second and vanished.
"Hey you ok? What was that?"
"Uh... I'm not sure. I just got really dizzy and nauseous for a second." He had a dazed look on his face that faded slowly.
"Ok do you need anything? Water?"
"No, no I'm good."
Grayson walked back inside with Armen and noticed me and Drake. I gave him a sorta worried and confused look.
"You guys ok?" Grayson stopped a feet from us.
"I don't know. He just got really dizzy for a second."
"I'm fine now."
"You sure Drake? If somethings wrong you'll tell us right?"
"Yea of course. Nothing's wrong."
Part of me didn't believe it. Drake was never a really open person. Sometimes this makes certain situations really frustrating when your trying to find out if something is wrong with him.
"Ok..." Armen have him a skeptical look but walked back to his room. It was getting late anyways.
Maybe we all just need a little bit of rest.
