One moment things were fine and then the next things went sideways real fast. It was like a blur to be honest. I feel like I'm trapped in a haze as I slowly processed what was happening around me. Flashes of white invaded my foggy mind. And what I think is a voice? It wasn't one that I immediately recognized, yet it was very familiar. And very sinister if the chill sent down my spine was anything to go by. Suddenly the pressure around my throat that I had barely noticed was even there faded and clarity rushed back to me.

Hitting the ground with a heavy thud, I gasped for the air my lungs needed and desperately tried to shake the dazed state of my mind away. With blurry vision and muffled hearing, a figure in front of me paced erratically and seemed to be frantically fighting some invisible force off. Groaning, I rolled over into my stomach and reached out for any sort of memory that could tell me what happened. Where was Armen and Grayson. What about Mia and Drake? Was the figure in front of me drake? It just looked like a tall black blob in my murky vision. I guess that was him then.

Sleep was calling to me, far off in my mind. I was slightly aware of part of me screaming at myself to stay awake and get up. That I was in danger and something was seriously wrong here. Drake needed my help and I needed to get up. That frantic voice got quieter and further away as unconsciousness rolled over me, taking me away. The pain around my throat faded and the aches in my body soothed to a cool numbness and my world went black.

"ColL-"

"G-ggGgG G-"

The darkness was comforting. Welcoming, safe, and pleasantly silent.

"Please! You need to sto-"

"Mia!"

Yet something slithered in the shadows, like a desperate plea ringing in the silence.

"Stop! Let him go!"

"You should be dead!

"Dead¿"

"NnnooOoøOoOO"

"I am ETERNAL"

The world around me shuddered violently. The cocoon of peace shattered. Raw and primal fear replaced the calm and unfiltered, malevolent white hot rage rang out and suffocated everything around me. Seeping into the corners of my consciousness and hurling me back into reality. White greeted me leaving my mind blank, memories blurred. The vile entity staring back.
