Graveyard Shift

      It turns out, Pops was just dehydrated, and within a few days, he was back on his feet. Ivy's mom is keeping an extra close eye on him to make sure he is getting enough water. But when he was in the hospital, scared and sympathetic , Ivy promised to take this "magic thing" more seriously and started listening to her Pops. In my opinion, it is all crazy. A 75 year-old man who forgot to drink water, insisting that magic is real and that Ivy needs to start practicing. Not your typical dinner table conversation if you ask me. But that's not the weirdest thing that happened today. That guy from the park the other day, I saw him again. But this time, at school. I don't know what his deal is, and what he is doing at MY school but, it's definitely weird. I agree with Ivy, this town definitely has changed. There have been 4 reported deaths all within a 48 hour radius. That is definitely weird considering we live in a town where one death usually occurs every 1-2 weeks. And they are usually caused by old age or sickness.  Let alone 4 deaths in 2 days! And every victim is completely drained of blood. Yesterday, I was at the Carolina Grill when 2 of deaths appeared on the TV, and I heard some people next to me saying something like "They're back" whatever that means. Tonight is Caroline's "Back to School Bash" Addison says I should go "Get out more" she said. "It will be fun!" she said. But I will just end up being the chauffeur for Caroline when she can't drive because she is drunk. This year, the party is in her backyard, because last time, the football team broke her great-grandmothers china vase. She made Wilson and Carver get a job at the Carolina Grill to pay it off. (Caroline's dad owns the grill)                                                                                                                                                     -Now in Present time-

"Bye Addison!" Isla yells as she walks down the stairs. "Do you want me to drive you?" Addison asks. "No thanks. Alexa's picking me up." "Okay have fun!" she yells. Isla then hears the sound of a car honking and runs out. "Thanks for picking me up, Alexa." "Oh no probs, I was in the neighborhood dropping something off, and thought "Why not." We later arrive at Caroline's and head to the backyard. I lost Alexa right when we got there. And went to find Caroline. "Hey! You made it!" She says. "Yep. Had nothing else better to do." Isla responds. "Well I am glad you came." Isla then takes out her phone and starts to dial Ivy's number. It goes straight to voicemail. "She's probably around here somewhere." Isla thinks to herself. Isla starts going around, talking to people and having fun. When all the sudden, she sees Ivy going around the house. Isla heads after her, calling her name. When she finally reaches her, she turns around and realizes it isn't Ivy. "Sierra?!" Isla says in shock. "Wh-What are you doing here?" "Don't tell Addison!" She says. "Ok. Fine. But why are you here?" "I had to get out of the house. I was supposed to meet up with some friends here." Just then, they hear a scream coming from the woods. Isla and Sierra both run into the woods only to find Ivy on the ground in pain and her neck and chest covered in blood. "Ivy?! Oh my god!" Isla says in panic. Sierra bends down to feel her pulse. "She has no pulse!" Sierra says in panic. Sierra runs off trying to find help. Just then, Ivy opens her eyes and starts breathing. "Y-You had no pulse! How are you alive right now?!" Isla asks in terror. Ivy then grabs her and runs into Caroline's house. "The party's outside." Isla says in confusion. Ivy takes Isla into a room and closes the doors. "What are you doing?" Isla asks. "Watch" Ivy tells her. Ivy then closes her eyes and focuses. And within a few seconds, all of the candles in the room suddenly light themselves. "H-how did you do that?" Isla asks in confusion. "I'm a witch." Ivy tells her. "Pops was right. Somehow. I'm a witch." Ivy starts to drift, and faints. "Oh my god! Ivy? Help! Someone help!"
