Spellbound

Here comes Autumn

     I wasn't really aware of the dangers in the world. I always grew up having the same routine. Wake Up, go to school, come home, do homework, eat dinner, go to bed. And that was what I did. Everything just seemed to be in the moment. Now everything is anything but. My life is different now. One of my best friend's is a witch. My... Ex-Boyfriend? I don't really know what to call him. We aren't exactly broken up. My Partner is a vampire. Both my parents are dead. And, my long lost cousin is in town.

   "So you're cousin, Autumn Steinfeld is in town?" Caroline says as we walk into school. "What's so bad about that?" she asks. "Nothing, really. It's just...I don't know it's just kinda weird, we haven't seen her since my mom died." Isla replies. "Well I'm sure it can't be that bad, she's only here for Winter break, right?" "Yeah, I guess." "Come on! Cheer Up! It's the last day of school until the Holidays!" Caroline says. Caroline LOVES the Holidays. And when I say LOVES I mean LOVES. She puts out her Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. Last year, she made a petition so the class could have a secret Santa, and we did. And, she also made enough cookies to feed an entire city. Like I said, she LOVES the Holidays. "By the way, have you seen Alexa lately?" she asks.

"Whatcha doin', baby bro?" Sam asks when he sees Jason looking through a bunch of books in the Library. "The other night, I was coming to pick up Isla, and there was another Vampire there." Jason says. "So what do you need the books for?" "All the vampires supposedly left Blythewood in 1889. I am trying to figure out if any stayed behind." he replies. "Okay well you have fun with that, I'm just going to go and-" "Wait. Here. It says all the vampires left except for a group called The Broods. They have kept a pact to stay in Blythewood until the last of their kind." "Well, well, looks like you and I are going on a little vamp hunt." Sam says.

So... If you're like Caroline, you're probably wondering what Alexa has been up to. Well...

*4 Weeks ago* Swift music plays in the background as Alexa is driving on the road at approximately 10 p.m. She soon arrives at her destination. Savannah, Georgia. 2 hours and 39 minutes away from Blythewood. "Alright Redd, time to start talking. What did you want with Isla, and why?" she says. Oh wait, the vampire who tried to kill Isla isn't dead? In case you're confused. Let me back you up. Redd= Vampire/Reaper hybrid= Vampire who kills/collects spirits of other vampires=Can only die if another Reaper kills him with a  steak=very dangerous. In fact, Alexa has some guts to confront him. And yes, Sam and Jason were correct with their conclusion. Redd is the last remaining Brood. Although, they were wrong about his location. That should clear most of it up. the only question you should have left, which sadly, I cannot answer at this moment is, What did he want with human Isla?

Back at home, Autumn arrives at the Hamilton home and goes to see Isla when she overhears a conversation between Isla and Jason. "Have you found out who he was?" Isla asks. "Sam and I think we may have found a lead. We think he was a vampire apart of this cult that dates back to the 19th century. Long story short, we may be able to find out who he was and what he wanted for you." Jason tells her. Autumn turns around her face appearing as if she had just seen a ghost. Unfortunately, Isla eventually notices Autumn. As does Jason. They both stare at her waiting for her reaction to the conversation she just overheard. But it wasn't a "Did you say vampire?" or an "Oh my God." Instead, they got a rather surprising reaction. "Turn me." she says to Jason.
