Spellbound

The Devil Himself

    As a little girl growing up, I always heard stories about werewolves and vampires, witches and warlocks. Most of the time, I was the one spreading them around school. I was quite fascinated actually. For my 8th birthday, I had sleepover. And I told my friends about the stories. They insisted we go on a hunt to find one of these creatures ourselves. Instead of thinking that wasn't such a good idea, I was thinking "why haven't I thought of this before"? So long story short, the hunt was over before it even started. Half of the girls chickened out after they heard a bird rustling in the trees. And the ones remaining, well, no one really knows what happened to them. Just kidding. The one's remaining went a little further into the woods, and then claimed they saw Slenderman and ran back to the house. After that, I was always too scared to go back into the woods. Little did I know, those woods were the least I should be afraid of. When I was 17, I discovered that all those stories I heard, and passed around school, all those creatures were actually real. Now that's something to be afraid of. 

   "Well hello to you too, Alexa. It's been a while." Redd says with a mischievous smirk on his face. "I asked you a question." Alexa responds. "Would you like a cup of tea? Berta here makes a lovely cup of English Tea." he says referring to the other reaper in the corner. Alexa grabs his shirt, pulling him closer, "What did you want with Isla?"she repeats herself. "You better watch yourself deary, you do remember who I am, don't you?" Redd asks. "I sent one of my many soldiers to go and kill Isla. You can imagine I didn't really appreciate it when your brother killed him, now can you?" Redd says. "Well when you go after his girl, let's just say that Jason gets over-protective." Alexa says. "Sure let's say that. You see, I would tell you, but wouldn't it be so much more fun to find out?" Redd replies. Alexa, obviously frustrated, attacks Redd's witch, Miriam, and kills her. She then takes off. "No! Oh, Alexa, you have no idea what you have just done. You think going after Isla was bad, you just watch out, things are about to get ugly." Redd replies.

  Sam is sitting on the couch when Alexa comes home. "Look what the cat dragged in." he says. And looks over at Alexa. "Is that blood?" he asks. "hm? oh, guess so." She replies. "Lucky. Every time I try to go out, Jason is there with his Mr. Responsible voice and goes "not today, Sam." he says. "Ugh. hate that voice. Okay, well I'm just gonna go to my room." she says and leaves. Right as Alexa closes her door, Sam hops to his feet and gets into her car. He shuffles around looking at papers, and eventually sees the GPS on the screen reading, Savannah, Georgia. "You've got to be kidding me." he says to himself. He then appears in her door frame as Alexa gets ready for bed. "So tell me, what were you doing in Savannah?" he asks. "Oh, you know just visiting an old friend." she replies cautiously. Sam laughs to himself. "Does your friend happen to be a 500 year-old grim reaper/vampire hunter?" he asks. "Why the hell did you go see Redd?" he asks. "I wanted to know what he wanted with Isla." she replies. Sam puts his head back and lets out a sigh. "Man, I knew you were stupid, but this is just ridiculous." he says. "Redd only hunts vampires. Him hunting a human, is very unusual." she says. "So you just thought you would pay him a  visit, and he would tell you if you said please? No Alexa, you of all people should know how Redd works. He is ruthless, he doesn't just do stuff for free. There will eventually be a price you have to pay." he says frustrated. "So what was I supposed to do, sit around and let the men go and take care of it?" Alexa asks. "You know what, fine. I'm not taking care of this one for you. This time, you will pay for the consequences of your actions. Because Redd, will come back. And when he does, you'll be dealing with the Devil himself."
