"What do you want from me?"

"Dinah...?" Lauren asked after not getting a response.
Dinah took a deep breath and exhaled before looking up at Lauren.
"Lo I've been hiding something from you, something I think as my friend you should know..."

"Okay.... you're really starting to scare me, whats going on?"

I know it's not my place to out Mani but I just can't hide it anymore and Lauren is one of the few people I know that I can trust... so here goes. 😔

"Me and Mani we..."
"Ughmm" I cleared my throat hoping this would make the words fall out easier.

"Me and Mani we... Me and mani..."

"You and Mani what?!" Lauren asked getting frustrated.

"We're dating!" I blurted out surprising myself at the alerting tone.

I looked at Lauren out of the corner of my eye avoiding any eye contact out of fear of her response.

I could see that she had an solid look on her face and I honestly wasn't sure what to expect.

There was a long pause before anyone of us said anything.

"How long Dinah?"

"What?"

"How long have you guys been dating?"
She asked in a louder voice.

"A little over 4 months, but I fell for her a long time ago Lo. I tried to hold back my feelings I really did but she makes me genuinely happy. Even when I don't deserve it." I said before dropping my head down.

Lauren stood up and stepped towards me.

"Give me your hand DJ?"
"What?"
"Give me your hand."

"O..k.." I said hesitantly as I stood to my feet.
"Hold it out " She said as I placed it in front of her.

*smack*

"Oww Lo, what the hell was that for?"

"I consider you one of my best friends Dinah why would you hide something like that from me?"

"It wasn't all me ok, I had to think about Normani as well, and she wasn't ready.

"Please don't be upset, I wanted to tell you Lo, I really did."

" I look at you both as my sisters, I just didn't know we were keeping secrets from each other."

"I'm so sorry but we were trying to figure us out, I mean we're still trying to figure us out.

I sighed before taking a seat.

" Honestly Lo, I don't even know if we still have a relationship at this point."

"What do u mean?"

Lauren asked as she took a seat as well. Her expression suddenly softening.

" Well you know how I told you about us getting into a big argument last night?"

"Yeah..."
