" I'm Listening..."

"Who's that?" Ally mumbled to me.
"I don't know"
The person was wearing a LA fitted hat, a tank top that displayed his muscles, black jeans, and a pair of nike slides.

The closer they got the more familiar the face became.
I flinched at the name that rolled off my tongue.

"Keith Powers."

WTF!

"Maniii!" Ally cheered as she embraced Normani in a long hug. "You look so pretty."
"Thanks! So do you."

Normani smiled as she drew her attention to me. "Mufasa!" She yelled as she grabbed me hugging me tightly.

"Hey..." I responded dryly as she pulled away to look at me.

She gave me a look that begged "not now."

I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

"You look beautiful sis, loving the new hair."
"Thanks." I replied with a fake smile.

This little act is getting so tired.

"You guys remember my friend Keith right..."
"Of course we do! How are you Keith?"
Ally asked after giving him a quick hug and pulling away.

"I'm well, it's good to see you again." Keith replied flashing a smile at Ally."

"Same, same" Ally smiled back.

"Yeah, it's good to see you Chris.. I mean Keith." I said with a slight smirk.

"You too Dinah."

Mani gave me a disapproving look before returning her attention back to Ally.

"So! Where's Lauren?"

"She's actually already in LA. So she should've been here already... hold on, let me call her really quick."

Ally stepped away to dial Lauren's number, leaving me there with an awkward Normani and a clueless Keith Powers.

"Sooooo..." Normani started.

"It's been a long day I'm just going to head to the car." I interrupted before turning around to leave with security trailing behind me.

While walking to the car I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

I ignored the text and locked my phone before stepping into the car. Soon after, Mani and Ally made their way to the car with no Keith in sight.

Hmm interesting.

The ride was fairly quick, and yet the tension between me and Mani couldn't have been any thicker.

When we arrived to the hotel Lauren was already there to greet us with a big smile.

After numerous hugs and kisses we all went to our rooms to unpack and get dressed for our arranged dinner later on tonight.

I ordered some room service, well a bowl of fruit, and took a quick shower. As soon as I stepped out I heard a knock on the door.

I quickly wrapped my towel around my body before rushing to the door.

"Coming!"

I've been craving mangoes for two days now this is urgent.

I grabbed a couple of bills ready to tip the server before opening the door.

When I opened the door there was no server just Mani standing there with a nervous smile on her face.

"Well you're happy to see me, and I'll take that." she said while reaching for the money in my hand.

"Stop, I replied pushing her hand away, I thought you were room service."

"Can I come in?"

"I don't think this is a good time I'm still unpacking."

"Please, it won't take long."

"Finnneee."  I groaned before letting her in and locking the door behind her.

"First off, you look beautiful, secondly let me explain."

"I'm listening."

"I know what you're thinking but there's nothing going on between me and Keith. The 3 days I've been in LA I stayed at Josh's place... you remember Josh right?"

Josh is Mani's childhood friend, if you didn't know any better you would think they were twins.

I exhaled a deep breath  "Yes Mani, I know Josh."

"Well, Josh, Blair, myself and a few other friends were just hanging out when we all ran into Keith and he asked..."

The more she talked the more annoyed I became.

"Listen Mani, I really don't have time for this. Can we talk later?"

"Uugh why do you always do that?"

She asked in an irritated voice.

"Anytime there's any type of conflict between us you ignore it and then later on you hit me with some passive aggressive type shit."

"Excuse me? Maybe if you actually took our relationship seriously there wouldn't be a conflict."

"How do I not take us serious Dinah? You're all I think about, I turn guys down left and right because of you."

"Yeah, well it sure doesn't seem like it. I mean
what the hell Mani, Keith Powers... Really?"

"I told you he's just a friend!"

"Yeah a friend that want's to fuck you!"

There was a small knock on the door that caught both of our attention.

Me and Mani stared each other down before I crept over to the door.

Shit, what if it's a fan or something and they heard everything.

There were a million thoughts running through my mind.

I shut one eye closed as I looked through the hole, but I didn't see anyone.

"Who is it?"

"I don't know I don't see anyone."

I slowly unlocked the door and was shocked to see who was standing in front of me.

"Drew?"
