"Hey, there you are." Tori says, as I walk into the tattoo parlor. "I'm happy you chose to be a tattoo artist, it's gotten lonely without Bud."

I nod. Bud had a heart attack and sadly died. Tori seemed sad, but it wasn't hurting her as much as I thought it would.

"So, first you can sketch." She says, taking me to the back room.

She shows me the tools, what to do, and I spend the rest of the day sketching. I'm surprisingly a lot better than I thought.

By the end of the day, I can draw all the samples on the walls, and I can write in three different fonts.

"You're a natural." Tori says, over my shoulder. "You could start tomorrow."

"Thanks." I say.

"You seem distracted. Anything on your mind?" She asks, sitting in a chair next to me.

"No." I look down at my paper.

I had written numbers in different fonts, and my fours were the most practiced. I blush.

"Hm." She smiles. "Anything to do with a boy? Four, perhaps?"

"Maybe." I grin.

"What's going on with you and him?" She asks. "He seems happier now."

"I like him a lot." I admit to her. "Everyone seemed afraid of him during initiation, but I wasn't."

She smiles. "He came in here once, to ask about you. I think he liked you from the start."

"Really? What did he say?" I ask, genuinely interested.

"He asked what he should do. It was the night he threw knives at you- I think?- and he felt like he screwed up too much." She explains. "He was practically on the verge of tears. He really loves you, you know."

"I know."

I never thought about it like that. He didn't seem like he liked be back then. I knew I had some feelings for him, but I doubted he liked me back.

I hear the tattoo parlor door open, and Tobias walks in. He smiles when he see me. I stand up as he comes over and kisses me.

"No PDA, lovebirds." Tori teases.

"Fine, then I'm taking her." He says, grabbing my wrists and guiding me out of the parlor.

"Help me!" I call out to Tori, who just laughs.

Tobias leads me to his apartment. He lets go of my wrists, and I start to go take a seat on the couch, but strong arms take hold of my waist and I squeal. He throws my over his shoulder, walks over and tosses me on to the bed.

I scramble off and run out of the apartment. I run down the hall and skid into my apartment, slamming the door. I see Christina and Lynn talking on the couch.

"Don't let him I'm here!" I call to them, running into my room, and hiding in my closet.

"Don't tell who?" Lynn asks, as I hear the apartment door open.

I hear voices; Lynn and Tobias probably. Soon, someone opens the door to my room, and the knob on my closet door turns.

"I knew you were in here." Tobias says, snatching my foot. He pulls me up, and drags me out of the room. Chris and Lynn as laughing like crazy.

"What is so funny? He is kidnapping me!" I say to them.

"Oh well. What's he gonna do? Kiss you to death?" Lynn remarks.

"You never know." Tobias tells them, laughing.

As he laughs, his grip loosens and I'm able to wriggle out of his grasp.

I don't know where I'm going, but I sprint toward the Pit. I don't look where I'm going, and I run into someone.

Eric.

"What are you doing?" He asks.

I just run passed him.

"I was never here!" I call back.

I run toward the net, where I first met Four, the intimidating instructor with a secret past. So much had changed.

I crawl on to the net, and lay, looking up at the sky. I close my eyes, and sigh.

"Tris!" I hear my name being called, followed by running footsteps.

Someone grabs my wrist, and I look over to see Tobias. He has one knee on the net, and could easily be taken off balance. I take it to my advantage and thrust him onto the net.

He looks shocked at first, but then settles down next to me, our shoulders touching. We stay like that, in silence for a while.

"I'm nervous." He blurts out.

"The legendary Four, nervous?" I gasp. I smile over to him. "It's okay, I am too. My dad, after I chose, he gave me this look of hatred." I shiver.

"Really?" He asks.

"Yeah, but my mom, she was happy no matter what." I say. "Which I later learned, on visiting day, that she was Dauntless, so of course she was happy for me."

"I wonder if your brother will come." He states.

"Probably, his Erudite curiosity will get the better of him." I smile, thinking if my brother. "Now that I look back at it, he always was curious, he just kept it covered."

"So do you want to talk to your family?"

I think a minute. "Yes, but no. I just want them to know how happy I am here, and that I know I made the right choice." I sigh. "But I don't want my dad's disapproving look."

"What about us?" He asks. "Will you tell them about me?"

"I can't say I'm happy, and not share my happiness with them." I smile, and lean over to kiss him.
