I end up staying at Tobias' apartment. In the morning, I pull on one of his shirts, then go back to my own apartment.

I take a shower, and put the shirt back on, because it smells like Tobias, and makes me feel safe.

After I grab a muffin from the counter, and sit to eat it. Tobias opens to door, which I guess I left unlocked, and sits next to me.

"I thought I saw one of my shirts missing." He says, noticing what I'm wearing.

I smile a little, and we talk a little, before he gets up to leave.

"Alright, I have to go. I was told to work at the control room, today." He says. "I'll see you tonight."

He kisses my cheek, then leaves.

Later that evening, I'm about to go to dinner, when I see Tobias' door, cracked open.

I go in, to see him washing blood off of his knuckles.

"What happened?" I ask.

He turns around to face me, and he dries his hands before coming over to me.

He places his hands on my shoulders. "Are you okay?"

"Why would I not be? What happened?" I ask again.

"Peter. Apparently he doesn't like our relationship." He explains. "He was the only other one in the control room and he- very unwisely- attacked me. He said he should be the one dating you, and not me. I tried to explain that trying to kill a girl won't make her love you. Then he told me he was the one that tripped me off the path."

"I already knew that. I punched him up against the wall to make him talk." I say.

"Yeah, I knocked him out." Tobias smiles a little. "So, are you going to dinner? I'm starving."

I nod, and we walk off to dinner, hand in hand.

As we eat dinner, Zeke says Lauren is with Shauna, so we have about an hour to get his apartment ready for her birthday.

As we walk to his apartment, he hands Uriah his keys and runs off to the jewelry store to pick up his present.

Tobias releases my hand. "I'm gonna go with him." He says, rubbing the back of his neck as he walks away.

Christina rushes up to me, lacing her arm around mine. "Aw, I think he's getting you something! He always runs the back of his neck when his is nervous!"

"Please." I roll my eyes.

"Oh, well you never know." She says.

When we get to Zeke's apartment, I blow up balloons, and tie weights to them.

Finally Zeke and Tobias come back, with a present for Shauna and enough chocolate cake to last a month.

"How come you didn't this much cake for last night?" I ask, as Tobias comes over to me.

Christina pipes in. "Oh, what we're you doing last night?" She wiggles her eyebrows.

I roll my eyes. "I thought it was clear, we were eating cake."

"Yeah, but is that it? Hm?" She pleads.

"Nothing else really happened." I say.

She gives me a look, then walks away. Tobias takes my hand, and we go sit down on the couch.

~~~
After awhile, the only people left at the party are our group. Shauna loved the cake and her presents, especially the one from Zeke, which was a necklace with 'Z+S' on it.
"Let's play a game!" Shauna says. "How about Never Have I Ever?"
"What's that?" I ask.
"It's where you have a drink and everyone goes around saying 'Never have I ever' and say something you have never done. Well, it could be something you have, and want to know who hasn't." Will explains. "After they have said it, if its something you've done, you take a sip."
We all nod and grab a bottle.
I sit next to Tobias, and lean my head on his shoulder as his wraps his arm around me.
"Have you ever drank?" He asks, worriedly.
"No, but I can handle it." I say.
"I know." He says. "You can handle anything."
