Hello my lovely readers!!  IM BACK!!!  Did you all miss me?  Probably not but anyway.

This was requested by @Ellenically.  I hope that it is okay.  I liked how it started but I really didn't know how the ending turned out. Enjoy!!

When I met Bart, it was the opposite of true love.  He was annoying, loud, from the future and to make things worse, he was faster than me.  Yes.  I am a speedster.  Not related to any of the Flashes, so don't ask.

Soon everything became a competition.  Who could pull more pranks, who could reach the mission fastest, who could knock more guys out.  Bart usually won, and that always made me mad.  Then he turned his teasing and pranks onto me.  We started teasing and pranking each other, and the unthinkable happened.  I started liking Bart.  Apparently, everyone could see the chemistry between us, but I never saw it.  I would start watching him do his everyday things.  I started noticing the cute things he would say.  Things like: mode, crash and other future slang.

"Team, please report to the hangar," Batman's voice rang through the halls.  I zipped into my f/c sleeveless suit and ran to the hangar.  Bart was already there, turning to smirk at me the moment my feet stopped.

"I won again y/n" he gloated and sped over to me, a black sharpie in his hand.  I sighed and held my arm out.  On the underside of my arm were hundreds of small tally marks underneath mine and Bart's names, filling up the entire space from the crook of my elbow down to the soft skin of my wrist.  Bart slashed a black mark under his name.  He grinned his classic grin and sped back to the front of the group, me on his heels.  Batman glared at us before continuing the brief.

"The Light has risen with the current withdrawal of the Reach.  We've received information that Lex Luthor has hired some lower mercenaries to take parts for the Light to build a new weapon."  Batman studied each of us.  "We are going to pair you up in order to take down every location.  We will be spread thin, so don't expect any backup to be available.  We have counted the number of villians in each location and each pair should be able to take them down without any difficulty.  Ms. Martian and Tigress, Blue Beetle and Beast Boy, Bumblebee and Guardian, Impulse and s/n, Superboy and Aqualad, Robin and Wondergirl.  Come get your mission details."  Bart glanced at me before speeding to Batman and grabbing our folder.

"Looks like we are headed to Star City," Bart informed me.  I nodded, standing by his side to read our brief.  I finished before him, straightening and pulling my mask over my eyes.  "Did you just finish?" Bart questioned.

"Yep," I popped the 'P' with a grin, holding my hand out.  Bart placed the sharpie in my hand and I put tally mark on my arm under my name.  I handed the marker back to Bart with a sly grin on my lips.

"Lets go!" he zoomed out of the cave, me not far behind.

The run was silent, but it wasn't awkward.  When we reached the warehouse, everything was quiet.  I glanced over at Impulse before zooming into the warehouse.  Once inside, the lights turned on and my eyes widened.  There were tons of bad guys.  Way more than Batman had ever thought we would encounter.  Bart appeared by my side and the doors to the warehouse slammed shut, trapping us inside.

"How do you wanna do this Impulse?" I whispered.  He glanced around before speeding off, punching guys left and right.

"I'm winning!" he called and I quickly followed his lead, not wanting to lose again.  When the bad guys saw that we were taking them down, they opened the doors and started running away.  We were actually winning, until they pulled out rocket launchers and grenades.  I slowed down, watching them.  They weren't aiming at me, but at Bart.  I quickly sped over, everything going in slow motion as I raced the grenade over to Bart.  He turned to me, just as I barreled into him, pushing him out of the way.  We landed beside live ammo and I knew this wasn't going to end well.  Making a split second decision, I turned to Bart and mashed our lips together.  Bart didn't respond and I didn't expect him to.  That's how fast the kiss was.
