Ms. Martian x Fem!Reader (shy)

Walking home from work, I kept my head down, trying to keep the rain  from falling in my face. The sky was dark and stormy, but I kinda liked it. As the rain started coming down harder, I desperately wanted to get home. Making a spilt second decision, I turned down the alley that lead straight to my neighborhood. Between the alley's walls, the rain was a little lighter, but still stung when it hit my bare skin. Tonight had been rough, but I managed. I was a waitress at a local restaurant, making little tips due to me being slightly shy. But tonight, people had been kind enough to give me fair tips and my wallet was bulging from all the single dollar bills.

Then, my footsteps weren't the only ones in the alley. Someone was behind me, squishing in the puddles. I slowly looked over my shoulder to see a low life thug. He had several gang related tattoos covering his body and face. My feet carried me faster, but the man kept getting closer. I was almost out, when a rough hand stopped me and yanked me back.

"Where are you going?" The man had a disgusting voice.

"No where," I replied. The man smiled and held out his hand.

"Then I'm sure you could spot me some cash from that bulging wallet of yours cause I got places to be," he flashed me the hilt of a knife and I pulled my wallet out of my jacket. The man forcefully took it from my small hands and took all of the money inside. He threw the leather case into the mud before backing away and running off. I watched him leave, but he didn't get very far due to the invisible hand stopping him in his tracks. My eyes widened as a girl appeared out of thin air. Her skin was a pretty green color and her hair was a fiery red. Entranced, I watched her take down the thug, my money in her hands. When she turned, I recognized her as Miss Martian from Young Justice.

"Here," she handed me back my money and I took it, stuffing it back in my wallet. "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine," I whispered. Miss Martian stepped closer to me, leaning down, her gorgeous hazel eyes staring into my own E/C ones.

"I'm Megan," she told me. That's a pretty name. It suited her.

"Thank you," she said suddenly. I looked up.

"Did I say that out loud?" I dreaded her answer. The Martian girl nodded, a small smile on her face. "I'm Y/N,"

"Come with me Y/N," she urged, holding out her delicate hand.   I carefully took it, noticing how soft her skin was. She pulled me out of the alley and down a certain street, not too far from my own house. Megan stopped in front of an old, worn down house.

"Wait here," she urged and ran inside. For some reason, I hated to see her leave, even though I knew she was coming back. I smiled when Megan reappeared, my heart giving a little flutter of joy.

"Here," Megan held out a watch. I glanced at it, curious to why she would give it to me.

"What's this?" I asked. Megan laughed and hit her head.

"Hello Megan!" she giggled and I couldn't help but think at how insanely cute that was. "It's a comm watch. Should you ever be in trouble again, just push," she pointed to a small red button on the side of the watch, "that button and I'll be there as soon as I can." I smiled and gave her a hug.

"Thank you!" I said. Megan turned to leave, but then seemed to reconsider it and whirled around to face me again. She quickly planted a kiss on my cheek before speeding into her house. My eyes widened and I lifted a hand to the cheek she kissed. I began walking away, buckling the watch to my wrist, when an idea popped in my head. I pushed the button and waited. After only about 10 seconds, Megan was flying towards me.

"Y/N what's wrong?" she asked. I grinned, blush creeping into my cheeks.

"You missed," I murmured. Megan stared at me, confused before I leaned forward and gently kissed her lips.
