Dick Grayson - Football

It was Friday night. Football night. I was standing on the metal bleachers next to my best friend Clara. Gotham academy was playing against the metropolis astronauts. It should be an easy win. I mean we have Conner Kent on our team as a wide receiver. Who wouldn't bet on us?  Some yelling ahead me drew my eyes to the very front of the student section. There I saw a group of the most popular boys in school, including Dick Grayson, my long time crush. They were yelling due to one of the boys convincing a girl to kiss him. It was like a game to them.

"(Y/N)," Clara spoke and I looked over at her. "Stop staring, he's not going to look at you just because you are looking at him."  I smirk and nudge her shoulder.

"Shut up," I smile. "I'm hungry. Do you want anything?"  Clara shook her head no and started watching the game again. When I reached the group of boys, I tried to squeeze through without causing any attention to myself. However, I was stopped when a blonde boy fiercely grabbed my upper arm.

"Hey Dick!" he called. I stopped breathing. "Here's one for you." The guy shoved me away, but I was caught by two more hands. When I looked up, my eyes met mesmerizing blue ones. Dick smiled at me and leaned down so his lips were almost touching my ear.

"Can I kiss you?" he asked. Blush spread through my cheeks and I turned to face him. Dick raised an eyebrow, waiting for my response. I have him a small nod and he placed one hand on the back of my neck with the other around my waist. Dick captured my lips with his and for a moment, the world stood still. His lips were soft and I kissed him back. My hands were on his flat chest, keeping myself close to his body. Then the world resumed. The boys around us erupted in excited shouts, shoving into us and jumping onto Dick. I blushed again and walked away from them.

When I got back from buying a bag of chips, Clara wouldn't stop staring at me. I shared my chips with her until they were gone. Clara crumpled up the bag and threw it at me. I glared at her before picking it up and holding it out to her.

"Uh uh," she crossed her arms. "You touched it last."  I sighed and looked down at the trash can, by the group of boys. Clara motioned for me to walk down again. I shook my head at her, knowing that she did this on purpose. Glancing down, I planned my attack. Just walk down, watching only metal stairs, throw away the bag, walk back up. So I started walking down the stairs. I tried to keep my eyes on my feet, but they wandered off and found Dick. He suddenly turned around, spotting me and left the group. He walked over to the stairs that I was on and began to climb. I stopped in my tracks and he stopped a stair below me.

"I hope I didn't embarrass you," Dick told me. I shook my head, but I didn't look at him. "(Y/N)?" Dick whispered. I turned to look at him.

"How do you know my name?" I muttered. Now it was Dick's turn to blush. I raised my eyebrows when he hesitated.

"I've kinda..." Dick met my eyes. "I might have a small crush on you." My eyes widened and I stared at him. Dick turned and started walking back down the stairs when I didn't say anything else. I moved quickly and grabbed his wrist.

"Dick," I spoke. "I like you too." He turned to me, his smile matching that of the Cheshire Cat.

"Really?" he questioned. I nodded with a grin.

"Yes," I admitted. Dick laughed and pulled me closer.

"Can I kiss you again?" he asked. I nodded in confirmation. He wrapped an arm around my waist and our lips collided once more. My hands found their way around his neck and I pulled him closer. In the distance, I vaguely heard the boys cheering again. Dick smiled against my lips, leaving our noses touching.

"(Y/N)," he whispered. "Will you be my girlfriend?"  I laughed and pecked his lips.

"Yes Dick Grayson," I told him. "I would love to be your girlfriend."
