Her lip twitched a little and her eyes showed infuriation. Still, her voice was stern and controlled as she spoke the words: "I want you out in the hallway this very instant."

Jacob wasn't entirely sure what would be the best course of actions to take right now. The logical part of his brain screamed at him to run away very fast, because this lady was looking like she was about to murder someone, and that someone, was him. Another, maybe logicaller logical part of his brain told him that if he were to do that however, his survival would only be temporary and the possibility of actual execution increasing.

After a last exchange of looks with his partner in crime, who had gone unnoticed somehow, he headed out into the hallway, followed by Misses Ronda.

The kids still inside the classroom held their breath. They held their ears open in case they would be able to pick up on anything that went down behind that door. When only the teacher reentered the classroom after two minutes of what seemed like absolute silence, they were all a little surprised. They weren't sure what they had been expecting. Maybe yelling or something? But there hadn't been a sound or a sign of anything, so seeing her coming in with a slight smile edging her lips, like she hadn't been about to pop her head off, left the kids a little confused. Jacob didn't enter after her however, so they figured; maybe she killed him or something? Nobody was sure.

Misses Ronda noticed that the kids' attention seemed to be elsewhere and called them back to work. The last hours of the day the children worked in silence.

-In the meanwhile outside in the hallway-

"Ehm.. so how are you doing today..?", Jacob doubtfully asked. His question was met with silence, so he talked about his day instead. "Mine could have been better I guess.. But it could have been worse too.."

There was still no reaction from his conversation partner. He was being given the 'silent treatment' apparently.

Nonetheless he continued. He sort of had to after all. "So, eh, do you come here often?"

(. . . still nothing.)

"Whoa," He feigned hurt. "no need to be a brick about it." A little smile started at the edge of his lips.

"Come on, give me something to work with. I'm running into a wall here. Don't be such a blockhead. You're not fooling me with that stone-faced expression of yours, I know you're actually liking my jokes. You know what, I think this might be destiny. You and I, we were cement to be together here today. You catching me? No? Well, no reason to be 'blocking' me either though is there?"

Jacob went on like that for some time longer, until he eventually ran out of wall-puns and just went over to silently bonking his head against it.

This was stupid. Creative assignment my ass. If he turned around to sit onto one of the tables for a while, Misses Ronda probably wouldn't even notice. He glanced at the door behind him. It's probably ok.

Slowly he started inching towards the tables beside him. But then he heard the creaking sound of the door handle from behind him and it didn't take him two seconds to be straight back up before the wall again. The door opened and closed. Someone was standing behind him now. Jacob didn't dare glance behind him to check. Good chance it was Misses Ronda after all. Silent footsteps were taken his way. They stopped when they were right behind him.

When a voice spoke his name he winced in surprise, but as he recognized the voice as definitely-not-Ronda's, he let out a deep breath he'd been holding and turned around to meet the perpetrator's eyes.

"Jeez Luna, don't scare me like that. I though you were Misses Ronda."

"Sorry", Luna whispered. "I'm supposed to be in the toilets right now. We figured someone should go check if you were still alive and all. I'm surprised she let me leave though."

Jacob grinned. "In the toilets?" Luna gave him a displeased look. "You know what I mean." After a short snicker and waving it off with a 'yea, yea', he explained what happened after the two of them had left the classroom.

Apparantly he had been assigned to hold a conversation with the wall he was ordered to face, in guise of a 'creative assignment', because Misses Ronda 'is a strict, but fair person and isn't one to give meaningless punishment. Oh, and I will talk to your parents about your behavior after school'.

"Sounds stupid", Luna helpfully supplied.

"Yep", Jacob confirmed. "I didn't waste my time entirely though. I practiced my jokes on the wall." He knocked on it twice. "I must say though, it was a rather hard audience to please." Luna's expression fell. "Stop." A smirk reached his lips. "Are you brickin' me? I'm just getting started!"

With that, Luna left for the ladies toilet and then back to the classroom.

She sat back down in her seat with a huff. When Dirk (the partner in crime) turned her way to ask about their friend, Luna replied before he could bring out a word.

"It seems he is doing just fine."
