You're outside watching the sunset with your boyfriend.
He takes your hand in his and gives you a sweet smile. "I'm never letting go of you", he says.
You turn his way to smile back at him and to return the words, but he speaks again before you can.
"Because I used superglue and all."
He goes back to watching the sunset like he didn't just say something crazy.
When the meaning of his words register your expression shifts. You stare from his eyes to your joined hands and back. You try to pull your hand away for test, but you can't.
It really is stuck.
