Chapter 13: Unhappiness in the air

(With chapter 9 Daring POV)

The School is getting gloomier and gloomier each day, this coming from Cerise who was suppose to be the mysterious gloomy weirdo. Now the whole school's full of negative tension.

All because it is nearing Legacy day. Legacy day.. a day full of pride and celebration, well not this year, not if even the royals are fining it hard to smile and keep up a joyous front.

Cerise watch as Raven run's away from Apple, and Apple panicking after her. It's laughable, a Royal chasing after a villain, bagging her to be evil.

Yes! One of Cerise favourite yet frustrating periods. Favourite because Cerise loves to be active and run, frustrating because she can't do that, it will let out her secret.

Anyway today Coach Gingerbreadman wanted the class to have a race. He grouped the class into threes and a group will race while the rest watched at the side. Cerise glanced at her group mate, little pig. "I'm going to be the fastest of them all muahahahahahaa!" He proclaimed stupidly. But then he caught sight of Cerise and sweat dropped with slight fear. Cerise chuckled "dream on your up against Daring" 'and me, but I'll let you win'

"Great, there's no competition." Daring, that arrogant prick, he actually said it out loud! Cerise felt a vein popping.

It's their turn to race, Cerise stood at the starting line, doing her warm up when Kitty appeared at the front row of the viewing platform smiling intently at her. Oh no..

The whistle was blown, Cerise started her slow jog. First a rabbit hoped out if a carnival truck? 'What?' Then some mice.. 'what's going on...' and then a moose jumped out of the truck as well 'what is Kitty getting at!' Cerise became very frustrated and confused, unfortunately for her, she didn't realise what she was doing. She was dashing across the track with her normal speed, pass little pig, and pass Daring. The animals panicked and ran back into the truck, but the damage is done.

"How interesting" Kitty purred, "anything you want to um, tell us?" Taunting Cerise. But Cerise was lost and frankly very afraid right now, she stood frozen on the spot

"I can't believe the speed spell I cast on your sneakers actually worked!' Raven cut in.

"What?" Kitty challenged turning to Raven. "I'll show you." Raven said casting a spell on Kitty's sneakers. And kitty was sent running wildly around the tracks. Needless to say class is over.

"Raven," Cerise went up to her friend "thanks?" Her town still leaking with confusion.

"Yeah thanks Raven!" Daring said when he passed them to leave the class, sarcasm was dripping from his tone, he was clearly unhappy. Raven sighed, face falling now looking at the ground, it's like no matter what she does, people find ways to be unhappy about her. Seeing this, Cerise quickly grabbed her friend's hand and gave it a squeeze, "he doesn't mean it, he's just in a bad mood." Cerise tried comforting.

"Isn't that my fault too?" Raven replied, trying her best to give a small smile. Cerise didn't know how to answer to that.
