(with Ch 13 DPOV)
Cerise dragged herself awake, it's the weekends, but it didn't mean she laze around in bed, even if she wanted to. She would start her day running, like she always would, and go shopping for her next week worth of food.
Cerise slowly and carefully got out of bed, making sure she didn't wake up her room mate, even if she's doing this to herself, it didn't mean her friend had to wake up at such ungodly hour too, the sky was still dark after all.
After washing up and changing out to some jogging attire, Cerise made her way out of the dorm, and into the woods. She ran, while tugging at her hood, and as she went deeper and deeper into the woods, she began let go of it, letting it fall, the cool morning air stung at her face, and blew at her hair. In that moment, the hood and ears both don't mean anything, Cerise felt free again.
As Cerise ran, she suddenly realised that the sky got a little lighter, she picked up speed towards her favourite spot ever after. The place with the most amazing view she had ever seen, where she almost lost her life the first time she chanced upon it, where she hang out the most of the time, and over time she learnt was the best place to watch the sun rise. (mentioned in ch 11) Cerise reached just in time, as the sun peaked through the crack between the mountains. She decided to sit down on her favourite spot at the edge of the cliff and just watch the sun rise, her pet Carmine appeared among the bushes not long after, deciding to cuddle under her arm, and the two wolfs just set there quietly, enjoying the magical moment that is the sunrise.
A few minuets later, Cerise looked down at her partner, "so race you to the clearing?"
"wolf!"
—break—
When morning jog was over, Cerise bid goodbye to her pet and put her hood back on, it's back to reality.. back to being the next red riding hood, back to not being a wolf, and back to buying ingredients to make breakfast lunch and dinner.. Cerise missed her mom's home cooked meals, how she wished that she could magically pull out a double ham sandwich freshly toasted by mom from her basket right at that moment, her stomach growled in agreement.. maybe she should have breakfast first then groceries.
"Blondie's got a new video up!"
"It's about time, I'm so bored lately"
"let's watch!"
Beanstalk Bakery is buzzing with with people, again.
"Good morning girls" someone said as she joint her friends at the table,
"you've watched blondie's?"
"Nope let's watch together!"
'what's wrong with everyone?'Cerise thought 'Its like they've be deprived of entertainment or something' Which was probably true, after the big food fight in the canteen, the girls in the dorm had been quiet, almost like they didn't know what they should do next. Should they act like friends, like nothing happened, or should they continue to fight. The video was a happy distraction.
Cerise ordered a simple sandwich with pudding late, it was new and it was pudding...
"Oh amazing! I didn't know that!"
"Oh wow her hair looks so good!"
"hey let's try that too"
"who knew troll tears can be so amazing"
'troll.. tears..? oh no!' Cerise couldn't believe how gullible people could be to the mirrornet.
—at the market—
"Ooh, your back little red!" the friendly butcher greeted Cerise. "What do you need?
"Seven whole chicken, some pork ribs, some minced, maybe some beef too." Cerise replied, already planning the meals she was going to make for the week.
"So the usual!" The butcher smiled, he loves her.
"Hello little red, the lady selling vegetables next door greeted Cerise,
"two bundle of spinach"
The lady groaned, and the butcher chuckled. "You need to learn to eat more vegetables!" the lady said passing her the bag.
"little red! Pasta, Rice, Potato! which would it be this week?"
"eh, hmm, rice!"
and that's how a weekend usually is for Cerise, the market place knows her well, especially since she came by every week without fail, and more or less buys the same things. She would go home, and put away everything, maybe start cooking the next three day's worth of food. But it wasn't a normal day was it.. it's so uninteresting for me to write just a normal day.
"Oh little red! help me!!" someone collapsed into his knees a little too dramatically. Cerise turned around.. "what the..." the man was now pulling her along, "I'll keep the food safe, just help me.. the shop's been unexpectedly busy today, and i'm going to faint!"
When they entered the little convenient store, Cerise could see the frantic staff and the people crowded at the potions counter. "here" the man set her down on the chair behind the counter..
Confused, Cerise just asked "what do you need?"
"My hair!!" the girl all but screamed
Cerise turned in question to the owner "what do I do?"
and the man placed a box beside Cerise, She picked up a bottle and read the label
"I think you need some Enchanted flower essence?" Cerise said passing that bottle to her.
Oh well this is not any better than her weekend routine is it? For the next few hours Cerise was just distributing potions after potions
"Oh Blondie, I'm never listening to you again!"
"Cursed, how would troll anything turn out good!"
It was incredible, how could so many people have tried troll's tears? The sun was now setting, and she waisted the hole day behind that counter.. The crowd was dying down and she was so ready to go home when
"Dililing"
Cerise felt the familiar motion of people marching strait to her counter. "Let me guess, Enchanted flower essence?"
"How did you know?"
surprised, Cerise looked up 'Daring?' In front of her was a boy, wearing a hoodie, wrapped on a yellow scarf, and trying to hide behind large black framed glasses.. Realising that her shock was written all over her face, cerise quickly regained composure.
"That's all anyone asked for today" Cerise answered 'I didn't know your stupid enough to fall for troll tears Daring..'
"How did you know who I am!"
"Ah, did I say it out loud? Oh look at the time! better ask the owner if i can be freed.."
Cerise got payed a good some that day, it almost took care of groceries!
