chapter 17: Blondie The Reporter

(with ch 14-15 DPOV)

In Class Cerise was distracted, she was thinking about the dream she had this morning, it was more like a memory. She remembered her parents allowed her to run freely in the enchanted forest, as long as she was running in it away from the borders. But being a curious young child, she didn't exactly follow her parents' wishes and ran to the edge of the forest. When she saw children just outside the forest, in the fields, she quickly hid herself and watched them. Beautiful Children wearing beautiful clothes were playing in the field. Everything they did was picture perfect, they looked like they were having fun, how she wished she could have some friends to play with as well.

"Who are you?" "Commoners are not allowed here!" "What did she want!?" Suddenly Hostile voices ringed at her ears as the little children approached her, she back away and ran back into the forest. And that was when the dream ended, she woke up and couldn't stop thinking about it.

"Little red? .. Little red Hood!" Cerise suddenly broke out of her trance, she looked up to see Blondie

"Can I have your worksheet please?" Cerise quickly hooded and passed her worksheet over. The blond girl glanced through it, and then her eyes grew wide

"Your name is Cerise?" Cerise nodded again. "Oh this is just right! I got something to post about!!" Cerise face paled as she watched the girl ramble on in front of her. "Oh you know, the headmaster stopped me from making anymore school legend videos, and I'm really stuck on ideas."

—break—
Cerise was wasting to the library. "Oh Im sorry guys, the School legend series is canceled! But don't worry guys, I have something interesting to report!"

Cerise looked back, Blondie?

"You know the gloomy mysterious girl always in her red hood?" the camera was panned to face her, Cerise uncomfortably pull her hood further down to cover her face, she walked faster trying to get away from the reporter.

And for the rest of the day, random people kept calling her name for no good reason.

"Oh Cerise, your a great hit!" Blondie came up to her. Cerise sighed "I was thinking maybe we can do a follow up, maybe a documentary about how you became so shy, maybe some backstory" Blondie babbled on "Oh how about your family? I believe no one really know who your father is!" Pulling her hood down, Cerise dashed off again

—break, a week later—
Cerise was in the forest, having a nice pick nick. She bought ice cream on the way though, so she had to finish that as soon as possible. Carmine won't come soon anyway.

"So Cerise!" She jumped "What's your thoughts about Huntlynn?" how did Blondie find her here? That's kind of creepy.

"It doesn't change anything" I thought truthfully

then my eyes were covered by something fluffy

"Woolf! Cerise run!!" I hear Blondie scream on a panic, she pulled me away from my pick nick matt, Cerise who was not prepared for that lost her balance and crashed into Dexter who so happened to be the camera man that day. "Aah!!" The impact made him drop the mirrorpad and fall back too. All these sudden commotion spooked Carmine who ran back into the bushes.

"Oh my, that was close!" Blondie said "But Dex, did you catch that, I think saving the little red riding hood from a wolf is an epic story!"

"Blondie."

"no that part is all a blur," Dexter replied. "Oh at least we got the interview right?"

"Blondie."

"Yeah we got that" "Oh too bad the clip is not usable, I think 'Cerise Hood's first friend in EAH' is a nice title, don't you think?"

"Blondie!!"

"Yes?" the reported and her camera man turned around to look at Cerise.

"Please don't use me as a topic for your blog anymore.." Cerise looked strait at Blondie, determined to show how serious she was "And don't film me without permission, it's creepy." Cerise stood up and went back to her pick nick matt to pack up and leave.

"Oh this is so not just right, your suppose to be a super socially oppressed girl with an amazing story to tell!"

Er.. what? Cerise was highly confused by what she heard.. "Why can't I be a boring girl who doesn't want to be all over social media?"

"your special, I can feel it!"

"Leave me alone!" Cerise walked away frustrated.

It was getting weird so I chopped it off and ended abruptly..

this chapter gave me Handa Kun vibe.. it's an anime i stumbled across very recently.

About no one knowing Cerise name until now.. I wanted her name to be a mystery for 1 season the great reveal to be so mundane and uneventful... that was what i had in my head.. stupid.. i know. It seam to not turn out exactly as i first imagined though, oh what the hack it is what it is.

I do like the Blondie feature, I only had a sneak peak in DPOV.
