After waking up at 7:30 am, I quickly left the tent to the nearest bathroom, and washed up. Coming back, I unpacked the breakfast that was given to us, and made the fire. Once the food was heated, I went back into the tent to wake up Jay.

“Sleepy head wake up.” I sang, coming into the tent. He was spread out in his sleeping bag and lightly snoring. I stood there for a few seconds before deciding to kick him in the side. He finally sat up, and rubbed his face.

“Raise and shine sleepy head. The sun is out, breakfast is ready, and I need to get changed.” He groaned, and went back to his laying position. I kicked his side once more, and this time, he got up straight away.

“What is wrong with you woman? It is too early in the morning.” He said, eyes still stuck closed. I laughed.

“Silly, it is nearly 8 o’clock in the morning. Activities start in about 30 minutes.” At this his eyes opened, and he went out.

“You better change then.” He left the tent, and zipped it up.

After changing, I came out wearing a midnight black bikini (being told we were going to swim) under a long sleeved, white formal shirt. I tucked it into a pair of skinny jeans that were grey. Then I wore a pair of red high top converse and a hoodie tied around my waist. I came out, and let Jay go into the small tent. He walked out after a while. He had on a tropical print t-shirt and a pair of tropical print swimming trunks. Like me, he wore a hoodie around his waist. He wore black Vans and a neon snapback.

He smiled and sat in a chair. I gave him the breakfast, and we wolfed it down. Once down, and ready, we headed out to central meeting area. Once there, only a third of the grade was there. But, I saw that my friends were there.

“You know, I actually want to show that we are friends.” I turned to Jay in shock.

“Are you sure?”  Surprised that he suddenly outburst, but he turned away from me, and nodded. I smiled and dragged him over to our little group. Tony and Kayla were in a middle of an argument, and franticly waving in each other’s faces.

“Hey, what’s going on?” I asked, and they both glared at me.

“He is saying that my boyfriend is a man whore!”

I am just telling her the truth!” They bickered on. I finally put my hand out between them to stop. They both turned a glared t me.

“Fuck off!” Tony shouted in my face, making my shrink away from them. Finally, Benni and Brody walked between them and rushed to me.

“You witch! How could you!” Benni she clung onto my right side.

“Don’t yell at our precious daughter!” Brody clung onto my other side, and his dark side came out, causing the others to shrink away. From behind me, heard Jay laugh. Every turned to him, and see that he was covering his mouth trying not to burst out laughing. He got a glare from Brody, and he finally got a straight face.

“Mar, why is he standing there?” Benni asked me. I shrugged

“He’s a friend, why else.” Everyone looked to me now. Brody strolled over to Jay, and walked around him inspecting him from every angle. He then swept in for the kill.

“Only friends, right?” He glared at Jay. Jay smirked right back at him and nodded.

“Does it look like I am a desperate horny teenager?” Brody hit him square in the jaw. Benni rushed forward and pulled away Brody. I went forward to check on Jay, and he leaned in and whispered to me.

“I didn’t mean it.” I smiled at him and squeezed his hand to say I didn’t really mind. Brody finally broke free from Benni, and lunged, but I stayed firmly in front of him, not even flinching when his fist was just inches from my face. His eyes soften. And he opened his mouth, but I was faster.

“What the fuck, man. I get your reason, but have some self control, will you!” I glared up at him, my finger pointed at his heart.

“What happened there?” I turned away, hating to see the look on his face, I walked away from the group.

Jay’s POV

I watched Marcy’s angry figure walk away, with Benni trailing behind her. I then looked at Brody, to see he was swear repeatedly at the ground. I tapped his shoulder, getting a glare. He then softened, and his face became blank, and then seconds later, his face was back to the everyday cheery face.

“I am sorry, for your face.” He then looked back to Marcy, and flinched.

“It’s never good to be on her bad side. She really saved me.”

“What?” I asked, not really knowing what he was talking about.

“Oh, she really saved all of us, In some way.” I turned to Tony, who was also looking after at  Marcy.

“Brody used to be real bad ass. He used to really close with his dad, but he cheated on his mother, and it devastated him. He started to get in trouble. Going around, stealing from stores, drinking, even though he was under aged, and fighting with anyone who got in his way.” I nodded to Tony’s story. Looking at Brody and thinking about the recent description and totally seeing it.

“Finally, after yelling at Benni for getting in his way, before he actually met Mar, she told Mar, and she went to him. After yelling back and forth in the field, and everyone watching, he finally stopped fighting, and Mar yelled at the crowd to leave. Once everyone left, she stayed with him, and got him to confess. She took him in and changed him. Changed his way to think, not to drink or steal, and changed his heart. They have deep history.” I nodded and started to feel the butterflies I had for her when I had first met her. She really was something else. To be able to change someone like that.
