Chapter 8

I finally stopped walking, and felt Benni bump into me. She quickly walked around me, and hugged me.

 “Hey, Mar. I don’t think that he meant to do that.” She broke away, and looked straight into my eyes, looking for the answer. I let out a sigh, and waved her away and not to worry.

 “I’m just worried. I don’t want him to change into his old self.”

 “I won’t.” I turned and saw that Brody was there. His face was red from running, but his voice was soft. He hugged me, and whispered to me.

“I didn’t mean what I did. He said something mean, and I couldn’t stand it. I apologized to him, too.” I nodded and looked into his eyes. They had softened and looked on the verge of crying, so I patted his head, and slung my arms around their shoulders.

“It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? Since it was just the three of us.” They both smiled and nodded. We headed back, and saw that the clearing was now more full, and people had on their backpacks. I walked to our group, and found Jay sitting with Tony and Marcus. I also saw that his friends were there, not even looking bored. Tony and Jay looked up when we stood in front of them. Tony instantly jumped up and hugged me.

 “I’m sorry about earlier. I didn’t mean to do that.” His voice muffled by my hair, and I laughed at him.

“No problem. Gee everyone, stop being all mushy. This is supposed to be fun.” We all laughed, and I felt something or someone land on my back. 

“Mary dear! It has been for-ev-er!” I turned and we jumped up and down.

“Carrie! What are you doing here?” We had finally stopped jumping, and she looked around.

“What do you think I am doing? I here to hang out with the best little sister there is.” She smiled and Benni and Brody came into the hug, squeezing me in the middle. When we finally broke apart, she went to say hi to everyone else. Jay walked over to me, and looped his arm around my neck. 

“Who, is she?” I looked to my sister.

“Carrie. She is my older sister. She is the CEO of the family business.” He nodded, checking her out. I punched him in the arm and moved his head to look at me.

“You, are not aloud to check out my sister. She is engaged already.” He laughed and leaned into my face.

“Then, can I check out your lips? I was wondering how they taste.” He smiled, making me blush and look away. He also looked away, his face was know tinted pink.

“Sorry, didn’t mean for that to slip out.” He continued to look away. I giggled at this, and walked away to Carrie. Hoping my stupid, blushing face to cool down. The mega horn blared from the stage and everyone quieted down. We looked to the tall man and he told us to start heading to the forest to get to the river. Everyone started to walk to the different paths.

“Let’s walk to the cliffs.” Benni exclaimed. Everyone in our group hollered and we started to walk. Carrie and I walked in the front with Benni, talking about her wedding. It was about 1 month away, and my sister had been consulting Benni most of the time. Once up the path, we reached the cliffs, and saw that there was already a group there. And to no surprise, it is the Red Heads. Already clothes off, and looking sluty as ever, they waved to the boys in our group.

“Hey boys. Want sit with us?” They waved to them, but they already set up camp on the next cliff over. Brody waved to them and yelled.

“No thanks.” The girls just fumed and invited others to sit with them. Oncd settled down on our cliff, we all took off our close and were left in our bathing suits.

Benni wore a pink and black striped bikini, and Carrie wore a green bikini. We all looked over to the cliff, and squealed. The water at the bottom was deep enough so we looked back to the boys. I called out to Jay. 

“Jay! Want to jump?” He looked up from the fire, were the boys were piling sticks. He nodded and came up net to me. He took off his shirt, leaving his toned chest bare. Even though he was my friend, I couldn’t help, but stare. He smirked and poked his chest.

“Like what you see?” I blushed and looked away. After a few seconds, I grabbed his hand, gave him a devilish smile, and ran for the edge. I squealed with delight as we fell. Hitting the water, I let myself continue to drop. After a few seconds, I broke to the surface, and started to swim the shore. Once sitting up, I looked to see that Jay was already out of the water. I blushed when I saw his wet skin, but brushed it off. I sat on the rocks and looked out at the water. 

“Hey, I’ll stay here, and act as the life guard.” I yelled up the cliff, to the people who were waiting to jump. They yelled back an okay, and the first person jumped. I sat and watched.

 The afternoon passed quickly, and everyone had fun. We all sat at the cliff, and trued to sundry ourselves. After finally putting on our clothes, and getting down the path, it was mid afternoon. I headed off to do an activity. I chose to go the outdoor gym and just go along with what ever they had. I walked in, and saw the vast amount of things to do. I was tapped on the shoulder by Jay and he pointed out the floor mats and fencing things.

“Do you play?” He asked. I smiled and nodded. He smirked and we walked over.

“Let’s have a dual.” He smiled and we put on our masks. I picked a sword, and he took the other. We started in the beginning stance. After hard 5 seconds, he began his attacks. I skillfully avoid them and fought back. After a hard ten minutes, I had finally disarmed him, and we were both panting from the action. He laughed, making me get giddy, and laughing along. I walked to the tall cliff for rock climbing and put the harness on. Climbing the wall, I made it to the top, and sat. The sun was starting to go down, but it made the sky look orange. I smiled and heard huffing. I looked the wall, and saw that Jay had made his way to the top as well. He sat down next to me and looked that the sky.

Everything was quiet and peaceful. I wish it was this way all the time.
