"Good morning, Hinata-kun!" Yachi greeted the carrot-head and seated beside his chair. She noticed the circles under his eyes and a lot paler than yesterday. "Tired from practice yesterday?"

"Morning, Yachi-san. Not really. I didn't take extra practice yesterday. I just finished a novel book last night," Hinata yawned and blinked his baggy eyes.

"Enough sleep is important, you know, especially for an athlete like you. By the way, what is the story about?"

"It's about a club which solves mysteries, detective students. The story is interesting. Wanna borrow the book?" Hinata fumbled through his bag and pulled out a thick book then handed it to Yachi.

"A mystery-themed story I see. Why not?" Yachi took the book in Hinata's hand. She browsed at the first pages and put it in her bag. "I'll give it back once I'm done, 'kay?"

"Sure," Hinata smiled and made another yawn.

Hinata is one of the smartest students along with Yachi so they're in Class 5. Yes, he is smarter than Tsukishima. Yachi is actually happy after hearing that he would also be studying in Karasuno in high school and in the same class. She felt relieved knowing that someone she's familiar with will be on the same classroom with her. They've known each other years ago but according to Yachi, he doesn't seem to remember some major memories back when they were kids. She doesn't think that he has an episode of amnesia or anything but she's totally fine if he doesn't recall as long as they're together.

The class went by quickly. They head to the club room after the dismissal for practice. They put their stuff there. Hinata had to change his clothes first so Yachi left before him to the gym. Everyone was already there except for Hinata who is still changing. Before Yachi could step inside the gym, she caught a glimpse of a guy with an orange hair, much messier than Hinata's in a white shirt. He's been shifting his head as if he's looking for something. He is facing back so Yachi can't see the guy's face. His figure is like Hinata's but there's no way he'll be there already. She slowly walks near the guy with a total confused face.

"Hi-Hinata-kun?" she called.

The guy froze when Yachi spoke. She is now intrigued. She was trying to call him once again but he ran off. She attempted to catch him but she was stopped by a voice behind her.

"Yachi-san, what are you doing there?"

Yachi whipped her head behind and saw Hinata standing behind her, confusion is written all over his face. Yachi made an awkward smile and shakes her head. "Nothing. Let's go now," she said then dragged the orange head to the gym.

"Uh, sure," Hinata's face is still puzzled.

Yachi thought that it was just probably her imagination or just some hallucination. She thought that she was just thinking too much about Hinata that day. No. Scratch that. She's been worried about Hinata these days because he's getting paler and paler even before he said that it's because of the book he was reading. Something is up with him. He is just keeping quiet about it. She tried conferring him about it once but he'll just ignore the topic. She reminisce those days when they were younger. How she misses the old Hinata, the Hinata that would greet her early in the morning with a wide grin, the Hinata that would teach her about his beloved volleyball, the Hinata that would cheer her up when she's down, the Hinata that would protect her when some goons tried to intimidate her and the energetic Hinata that has a bright, contagious smile that is enough to make her heart melt. If only he stayed the same, she would probably be still into him. But those cold responses sometimes turns her off. Ever since they became classmates, he treated her differently then.

The practice ended and Hinata went home without uttering a word besides those calls for the ball. They walk their way home together like they usually do but an awkward silence surrounds them. She wanted to open a topic but she'll probably get ignored. She sighed and look up at the sky. Darkness envelops the sky. Not a single hint of stars or moon can be seen. It will probably rain tomorrow. The night is chilly, probably because of the impending rain. There is no breeze whatsoever but when those were about to part ways, a sudden chill crawled onto her skin, giving her goosebumps. She halted and hugged herself. She was trembling brought by the new, eerie feeling she got. Hinata noticed that her shoes stop making noises anymore so he halted to check her.
