It was lunchtime in Karasuno High. Yachi and her two friends decided to eat their lunches on the bench because it is a good time to eat outside and they rarely do it. Yachi brought the manga she just recently bought because she's so hooked on the story and can't stop reading it.
"Uwaah~ Hirota-kun is so cool in this panel," Yachi grins as she looks intently at the manga she has in her hand.
"That Hirota character again? You've been mentioning that name lately. Is that guy this one on the cover?" Her friend tries to peek at the book cover while staring at the guy with messy, brown hair in his figure skating clothes.
"Yup. Hirota A.K.A. Hiro-kun. I hope he ends up with Hatori because they're so perfect for each other. They would totally make a cute couple," Yachi giggles whilst daydreaming about her ship.
"Yeah, we really don't understand what you're talking about," her other friend deadpanned then opens her lunchbox. "You get so talkative when it comes to mangas but unfortunately, you have no one to discuss it to someone who shares the same interest. Anyway, put that book down and eat already."
"You're so salty that's why you can't get a boyfriend."
"You're the one to talk. You don't have a boyfriend either."
"Now, now. That's enough and let's eat," Yachi interrupted before the blabbering turns worse. Fortunately, the two girls stopped and start eating their foods except for Yachi who is still taking a look at her fictional character crush. "How nice. I wanna try skating, too."
"Then let's go to an ice skating rink."
The three girls flinched from surprise after hearing a boy's voice from behind them. All turn to see who the person was. A familiar boy with a messy, orange hair was resting his arms on the bench, wearing his usual smile.
"Ah, Hinata. What are you doing here?" Yachi asked.
"I was just passing by. I bought a yakisoba bread from the cafeteria," he explained. The manga Yachi was holding caught Hinata's attention. "Ah! That manga! I know that!" His arms pushed the bench lightly and his eyes open wide.
"Really? What chapter are you currently reading?"
"I'm about to finish. About three chapters before the last chapter."
"Oh... wait, it's already finished?"
The two continue to chat while the other two just watch them quietly while munching on their foods. Staring for a while at Hinata, they are starting to realize something. Both girls look at each other with shocked and amused expressions.
"So, this Saturday day then?" Hinata queried, excitement is evident in his voice.
"Eh? Saturday?" Yachi asked.
"Let's go to the mall with ice skating rink! I also wanted to go to one after reading the manga. Uuuumm..." Hinata stares at the clouds while thinking of something. "I'll just go to your house to fetch you around seven," Hinata looks at the blonde girl with a wide grin. "Well then, see you on Saturday, Yachi-san," with that, the boy sprinted away, leaving the three girls behind.
"Well, look who's got a date," Yachi's friend teased with a mischievous smile.
"I'm envious~ I wanted to be asked out, too, especially if he looks like my crush from the fictional world," the other grinned.
Yachi flushed. "T-that's not a date. We're just going to hang out to skate, that's all. And what do you mean by 'he looks like my crush from the fictional world'?"
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say," both said in a chorus and continue eating their lunches. They didn't say anything afterward but Yachi was hoping they could elaborate what they mean by that line.
