Dark blue sky with scattered twinkling stars blanketed the chilly night at Tokyo. Unlike in Miyagi, the nights aren't quiet. Honking car horns on the streets because of traffic wasn't a new sight. Some people from work walk back to their apartments while some ride taxis. Some businesses are still open thus few buildings and establishments are still lit.

Hinata Hitoka watched the old scene from the balcony of their apartment, holding a warm cup of milk in her hands, a blanket draped around her shoulders. She trembled at the chill whisper of the night.

"Mommy!" a child's voice appeared from the inside.

The blonde woman turned and saw a young girl, scruffy orange hair,  rubbing her golden eyes, as she takes small steps to her mother. She settled her cup on the top of the railings, turned to the child, and sat in front of her.

"What is it, sweetheart? Need to use the potty?" She tucked the strands on her face behind her ear and pinched the soft cheeks of the young girl.

She shut her eyes close and shook her head, making the most adorable face Hitoka has ever seen. "No. I'm waiting for daddy to come home."

The mini version of Shouyou that looks extremely precious made her smile. She brushed the little girl's hair on her forehead and planted a kiss on it. She cupped the ginger head's face and said, "Alright, let's wait for daddy inside, okay?"

"Mm, " she bobbed her head and sauntered inside.

Hitoka took her cup first before following the girl. She propped her half-empty cup on the kitchen sink first then headed to the living room where her daughter waits. She turned on the TV and joined the girl on the sofa.

"You're not sleepy yet, Hikari?" Hitoka wrapped her arm around Hikari and pulled her closer.

Hikari was silently staring at the TV screen although she wasn't paying attention to the show. She was remembering something. When it clicked, her golden orbs met the same pretty colors of her mother's.

"Mommy, why did you name me Hikari?"

Hitoka's expression and tone were calm. "Why? Do you dislike it?"

She shook her head.

The mother smiled in relief. It was her who decided on her daughter's name. Shouyou didn't complain but when he asked her why, she responded with, "It's embarrassing so it's a secret." Of course, Shouyou doesn't stop until he gets what he wants. Yet, his persistence never gets his wife to tell him her reason. But she thought that telling the kid she named wouldn't hurt.

"Daddy is like a sun to me. He's lively and cheerful, he radiates warmth, and he's orange, " she laughed to herself as she stroked the orange curls of Hikari which reminded her of her husband. "He gave me light during my darkest times. I was like a plant who couldn't grow under the shadows but when he came to my life, I was able to grow, I was able to become independent. He encouraged my old pessimistic self that I'm more than just a Villager B. I was able to showcase my worth thanks to him."

"Villager B?" Hikari interrupted.

"It's a role in a play. An extra character, " Hitoka explained. "You'll experience acting in school as well."

Although she can process only a portion of what Hitoka is saying, Hikari still focused and listen to her mother whose eyes gleamed as she talks about the love of her life.

"What I am saying is, " she coughed, a light shade of pink appearing on her cheeks. "You are the light that he gave me."

Hikari's lips turned "o" and was later replaced with a wide smile. "Hikari means light, right?"

The girl was indeed light, a blinding one. She shone in the night, just like how her father gleamed. And Hitoka was the earth, drawn by the giant star which is Shouyou himself. She laughed at her own imagination.

"Yep. Please keep it a secret from daddy, okay?"

She tilted her head to the side, "Why?"

"Just because."

A few moments later, they heard the doorbell rang. Hikari gasped and jumped off the sofa. She twirled and chirped, "It's daddy!"

Hikari ambled to the door gaily and Hitoka followed. She made sure to check the peephole first before unlocking the door, behind her was the impatient girl. On the other side of the door was a man in a suit, slicked back orange hair, a suitcase in his right, while looking at his watch. After confirming that it was her husband who's outside, she opened the door. Shouyou took his eyes off his watch and the opening door caught his attention.

"Daddy, welcome home!" Hikari cheered, arms wide open as she ran to him.

Shouyou placed his bag on the flooring and picked his daughter up. Both orange heads were giggling and Hitoka was more than pleased with this heartfelt scene.

"Welcome home, " she greeted.

"I'm home, my angels, " he grinned.

The wife laughed. He's still the same and she liked it that way. She carried the bag and the three entered the house, making sure the door is locked first.

"You seem to have a lot of energy. Aren't you tired?" Queried Hitoka.

"Of course I am! But seeing my beloved wife and daughter recharged my strength, " he chortled. He turned to his daughter and asked, "By the way, Hikari, do you want to be a sister?"

"Wha-"

"I do! I do!" The girl clapped her hands.

"So, what do you say, mommy?" He winked at his wife, making her blush.

"I-I... guess I don't mind, " she nervously looked away.

Her reaction made her husband laugh. To be honest, Shouyou wanted to have a second child already but he was worried that his wife couldn't handle two crying babies while she's teaching online in their house. Now that their first child is five years old, it won't be that much problematic anymore. Besides, their girl is well-behaved. Of course, the couple discussed this matter and Hitoka agreed.

"Where do babies come from?" The innocent girl asked her parents.

The partners looked at each other, unsure about how they would answer that infamous question.

The father chuckled and replied, "You'll know. Soon. Now, how about you go to sleep now and I and your mom will... make a miracle."
