"lunaaaa!" I squealed and ran to hug my best friend. Everyone in the hallway were giving us weird glances and stares but I didn't care, if Luna wasn't there i'd probably be so embarrassed. "Jewlsss" she singsonged. (jewels is her nickname for me). "Guysss" I heard a voice behind me mock our tone. I turned around and it was the one and only Joey birlem. "Hey!" I practically screamed but I didn't mean to. "Someones happy to see me" he smirked. "Says the boy that texted me at 9am in the morning asking if I was going to school today" I crossed my arms and poked out my hips all sassy like. "The sass doesn't fit you well" He scrunched his nose. "Shut up" I said in a teasing tone and continued "Anyways this is my bestest friend Luna" I grabbed Luna's arm and pulled her into a bear hug. "nice to meet you" she said in between breaths because I had her engulfed in my arms. "I thought I was your bestest friend " he joked.  "She's mine, sisters before misters okay pal?" Luna responded, I had stopped smothering her by now. "Okay, Okay I'm joking " joey put his hands up in defense laughing. "You better be" she sassed. "So, Julia I was wondering if you wanted to hang out like after school" Joey turned his attention back to me. My eyes widened but I managed to keep my composure. I looked at Luna as if I were asking her what I should say. She nodded and turned around acting like she was doing something with her locker. "Err yeah sure where?" I smiled a little too much and pushed my hair behind my ear. "My house? this afternoon" he bit his lip nervously. I was a little scared to be alone with him, not that he would try anything but for the simple fact that I've never been alone with a guy. I don't even know what to talk about. What does he want to talk about? "If you don't want to, I totally understand" his voice snapped me back to reality. "No! I mean-" I was embarrassed, I could feel my cheeks turn bright pink. "What she meant to say was she would totally love to hang out with you" Luna turned around and smiled. I smiled along with her nervously and nodded like an idiot. "Meet me here after school" he said and walked away. "Thanks Lu I don't know what I would do without you" I leaned my back against the locker and breathed out. "If he's making you that nervous then you definitely like him" she assured me while putting on her lipgloss. "I don't know, he probably doesn't even like me" I shrugged and grabbed my bag. The bell rung and we went our separate ways.

AFTER SCHOOL

I walked out into the hallway to see Joey leaning on my locker. My heart fluttered.  How could I fall for a boy in 24 hours? It was all too fast. I began walking but stopped when I saw Bailey sashay over and hug him. She twirled her hair and was all over him it made me sick. He didn't seem to mind. They hugged once more but this time her hands were in his hair and his hands around her waist. She whispered something in his ear, and walked away making sure to shoot me a hellish stare before leaving him. I felt like a had been punched in the stomach but halfheartedly managed to talk to him anyway. "what was that about..." I scratched my head referring to his encounter with Bailey. "Just a supporter" he shrugged and stuffed his hands in the pockets of his ripped jeans. "You hug all your supporters like that?" I laughed nervously. "Like what?" he raised an eyebrow. "Nevermind its just...thats the girl that was being a bitch yesterday remember?" I explained. "We went over this, why does it bother you so much?" he asked sounding annoyed. wow. Part of me wanted to end the conversation but the other half wanted to just leave and go home. "Julia... I didn't mean it like that" Joeys face softened. "Its fine" I brushed it off. "Are you sure?" He put his hand on my arm and it sent chills down my spine. "Yeah... Can we just go?" I said changing the subject. He nodded and we walked out of school together.
