AT HOME

"So you're basically friends with a celebrity" Luna raved over FaceTime. "He's not a celebrity" I giggled while doing my homework. "Then what is he?" she questioned getting closer to the camera. "A little social media seed" I quoted joey. "Ohmygosh" she squealed. "You totally think he's cute" she smirked. "I don't" I tried to keep a straight face. My phone buzzed and Joeys name popped up on the screen. "Who's texting you?" Luna wiggled her eyebrows. "No one, I gotta go though. love you bff" I blew a kiss and hung up. 

TEXTING

Joey: Julia Blair :)

Me: Joey Birlem :)

Joey:  just noticed that we have the same initials 😂

Me: omg ur right

Joey: Julia? 

Me: Joey?

Joey: I like ur name 

Me: ahh I think ur name is better ;)

Joey: haha im fr tho

Me: aw thx 💙

Joey: np and sorry about today at lunch 

Me: those girls were rude 😒

Joey: they're my supporters 

Me: I know but I feel like they hated me

Joey: they don't  

Me: thats easy for you to say, they're in love with you

Joey: It was probably bc I came up to talk to u while i was with them

Me: how do u think they will react to us being friends?

Joey: supporters will support and the haters will hate 😊

Me: I like that :)

Joey: positive jojo

Me: jojo? 

Joey: my nickname duh

Me: jojo 🙊 thats cute

Joey: now we need a nickname for u

Me: uhh i don't think it'll work

Joey: how about JuJu? 

Me: JuJu and JoJo haha thats perfect

TEXTING OVER

I smiled and put my phone on my nightstand. My brother Kai walked in. "Can I sleep in your room?" he jumped on my bed. "Sure buddy" I ruffled his hair. His eyes lit up. "Really?! you never let me sleep in here" he beamed. "Well I'm letting you now" I giggled and tickled him. "Someones in a good mood" he laughed while I tried to tickle him. "Don't get used to it bud" I hopped off my bed to turn out the lights, then pushed my homework off my bed. I didn't finish it but I had time in the morning to do it. I pulled the covers over Kai and I and we fell fast asleep. 

NEXT DAY

"Rise and shine sleepy heads!" my mom sat on the edge of my bed. My eyes fluttered open to the bright sun shining in my face. "What time is it?" I croaked. "Its.... 9:45 you're late" She checked her watch. I tapped Kai's shoulder to wake him up. "Five more minutes" he rubbed his eyes. "We're late for school kiddo, you better get to steppin" I warned him. Silence filled the air. He kept sleeping. I gave my mom an evil grin and she knew exactly what we were gonna do. I tip toed out of the room and grabbed our bluetooth speakers. Kai hates the song "Call me maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen so thats exactly what I blasted. "I THREW A WISH IN THE WELL, DONT ASK ME I'LL NEVER TELL" I singsonged. My mom and I danced around the room like goofballs. Kai woke up, and rubbed his eyes again. "Nooooo" he groaned. "You have to get up to turn it off" I laughed while pointing at the speakers that were out of his reach. He sighed and dragged himself out of bed and turned off the song. "Im proud of you" I went to give him a high five, he went to tap my hand but halfway he dabbed on me. "SIKE" he laughed so hard I thought he was going to fall over on the floor. "You win, now go get dressed for school" I chuckled. He obeyed and ran out the room. "You're being extra nice today aren't you?" my mom smirked. "Mom, promise me you won't ever make that face again" I playfully rolled my eyes. "Im just-" she was interrupted by my phone buzzing. I ran over to check it.  Joey: are you coming to school? it read. I opened the message. Yeah, you miss me? I quickly typed. "Be ready in 10 minutes" my mom said shaking her head from side to side and left the room. I shrugged and got dress. I wore a burgundy skater dress paired with my favorite black combat boots. My phone buzzed again. Joey: I do :(. I left him on read and grabbed my bag, keys, and jacket. Then I left for school.
