The next day at school was pretty decent, Joey had gave me some space. He hung out with some of the football players, while I stuck with Ori the whole day. Emily and Kyara were absent but luckily we all had similar schedules. Ori and I sat in the back of Art class chatting away. Luna and Joey were in that class so it was a little awkward but I managed to ignore it. Luna kept giving me weird glances. I shifted in my seat uncomfortably, and I watched as she walked over to where Joey was seated.
"Julia? Are you even listening to me?" Ori crossed he arms.
"I- Can I tell you something?" I sighed.
"What's up?"
"You see that girl over there...The one talking to Joey right now"
She nodded.
"Thats my ex bestfriend"
"Why is she talking to Joey?"
"I don't know but I have a feeling its not good...I mean she hates him"
"Im going over there" She rose from her seat.
"please don't. they'll know I sent you"
"I'm eavesdropping on their convo, no worries"
She skipped over to them without waiting for me to reply and acted as if she were sharpening her already sharp pencil, when Luna left him she came running back to me.
"You're not going to believe what I just heard"
"What was she saying?"
"She was asking him if he wanted to hang out... he agreed and is going meet her at Bailey's party tonight" she whispered.
"What the fuck" I almost yelled but I kept calm.
"I didn't even know Bailey was having a party" she shrugged.
"And you think I did? We have to go"
"Bailey is trash and we don't attend trash parties" she flipped her hair dramatically and laughed. I couldn't help but laugh too.
"You're right but I'm not going for her. luna and joey-"
"are going to get closer and you want to be there to stop it. i know" she smirked.
"look just because I rejected him yesterday doesn't mean anything... I still like him, I just need to think about things"
"really? or are you just scared of what people will think? not only did you reject him but you walked out on him at Starbucks. technically, he has the right to move on"
"Thats besides the point. I don't want him dating my ex bestfriend...I cant believe she would do this"
"Im sorry. let's just go to the party with Kyara and Emily tonight. we'll all be there by your side"
We got back to work.
