Like there's a dawn to every day
And a dusk to every night—
There's a start to every chapter
Every story in my life—
And to this one, there's a smile
And be it yours or mine–
It was the one that flipped the page
And readied it to write. From that smile grew a laugh
And from that laugh grew a fight—
But not the one with evil words
Just a battle of 'Who Was Right?'—
and regardless of who won
And I can't recall the plight—
We both took off with wings and
Soar amidst each other's flight. And now the chapter's in way deep
And I can't see the end—
For I'm doing what I swore to not
And falling farther in—
What scares me most, is as I fall
I really can't amend—
And I surely never, ever want
To crawl back out again.I love it here, inside with you
I love the dying, drowning—
I love the fall, the pain and all
I love the sound, the pounding—
And be it your heart, my heart, or ours
I love the pain in founding (it)—
For what I love most, though I wish it not
Is you, and all your groundings. Now forget what I've said, never speak it again
I shan't ever, ever be repeated—
"Love," ugh! It's child's play
There's no sense on earth to believe it—
I shouldn't be bent, shouldn't love you, won't give
It the satisfaction of letting it win.
But there you go, with that smile, and I know,
That I've met you all over again. And (with a smile) I'll meet you all over again.
