For teaching my heart how to walk upright
And teaching my soul how to fly
Because, to kiss you (I can't fathom your height)
My tippy toes scarcely reach so high!
And because, when you're in view
I'll preen over treetops, stars, and skies
I'll stand on my toes and prance when I see you
I'll finally be home when you're mine.
And because, right now, you're walking away
And I see the heels of your feet click the ground
So promise me one thing, and while you can't stay
Stand upright on your toes and walk around.~for Tommy
