meeting Nova

A/N: this takes place 6 years after the last chapter
Shining's POV: Mangle and I smile as we drag our brother Onyx to Nebula's medical bay with Blazing Beauty, Blaze, and Polly running beside us and I say to him, "c'mon Onyx, you're gonna love Nebula! She's soooooooo nice and gentle!!!" He runs to catch up with us and says as he slows to a walk, "okay, okay, I'll take your word on her." I squeal in joy as we near Nebula's medical bay 'cause I'm excited to see Nebula again and shout through the metal door as I knock on it, "Nebula, I have someone I want you to meet!" Nebula comes to the door and opens it then smiles when she sees me and picks me up then spins me around before setting me back on the ground. I say, "Nebula, this is mine and Mang's brother, Onyx." I jab Onyx in the arm with my elbow, causing him to force a smile as Nebula says while kneeling down to Onyx's height, "it's nice to meet you, Onyx." I smile and hug Nebula to show her that I'm happy to see her again, and she giggles then stands back up and leads Onyx, Mangle, and I to the main room. She says in a sweet tone, "alright you three, time for a checkup!" I smile as I bounce up and down, a little excited habit of mine, and Nebula giggles and says as she places a hand on my shoulder, "you're up first, Shining." I smile and happily climb onto the examination bed with Blazing Beauty in her Luxury Ball on my belt then sit up straight so Nebula can start with my checkup. She listens to my heartbeat with her stethoscope and smiles when she hears my heartbeat is the same as it was 6 years ago when I first met her. She checks my temperature, and once again, smiles when she sees my temperature is the same as it was 6 years ago when I first met her.
*time skip*
Nebula's POV: I say to Shining, Onyx and Mangle with a positive smile, "you three are all doing fine. Stay here, you three. I want you to meet someone in my family." I walk into mine and Nova's room, where Nova is sleeping with her head ducked under the covers. I snicker, grab a bullhorn, and blow it under her covers, causing her to shriek and fall out of bed, landing on her back on the floor with a loud thud and a grumbled "ow..." She gets up and asks as she dusts herself off, "sis, what the h**l was that for?!" I respond simply, "first of all, watch your mouth. Second of all, come with me and you'll find out." She puts on her armor, which has boots instead of high heels unlike my armor, which has high heels instead of boots, and says after she brushes her solid galactic hair free of tangles, "okay, okay, Neb. You win." She raises her armored hands in mock surrender and I lightly jab her in the arm with my elbow, causing her to grumble under her breath as she walks with me. I take her to the main room, where Shining and Onyx are play fighting while playfully growling and giggling because they're having fun. I snap my fingers to get their attention and they look up at me. Shining gets up while lightly punching her brother and sister in the arm and dusts her black solar system dress off, her hair falling back in the process, revealing two golden orbs piercing each of her ears, connected by a thin golden chain, a thin golden chain hanging down from the bottom orb and a golden 5-point star attached to the end of the chain. I ask as Shining comes over to me, "since when do you wear earrings?" She replies, "since I was 7. I made these by myself."
Nova's POV: Nebula says as she lightly elbows me to get my attention, "this is my sister, Galaxy Twinkle Nova, but I call her Nova for short." I say proudly, "Neb's right. But, I don't know your d*-" Nebula cuts me off with a small growl, and I correct myself, "but I don't know your names." The golden blonde says as she moves her hair back over her earrings, "name's Shining Eclipse Star. This is my brother, Onyx Blackout Star. And the soft pink streaked white-haired girl is our sister, Mangle, but I like to call her Mang." I say as I kneel down to their height, "nice to meet ya kiddos." Shining snaps, "don't call us that!!!" I stand back up and say in a sarcastic tone, "yikes." Shining's eye twitches as she grabs a black ball with a red band outlined by yellow on the top on her belt, takes it off of her belt, presses the capsule, throws it into the air, and calls, "let's go, Blazing Beauty!" Onyx takes a green ball with black spots off his belt, presses the capsule, and calls, "go get 'em, Blaze!" Mangle does the same with a pink ball that has a white heart on the front and calls, "go on, Polly! I know you can do it!" 'Blazing Beauty', 'Blaze', and 'Polly' come out of the balls and cry, "Fenn! Fennekin!," "Charmander! Char!," and "Eevee!" 'Blazing Beauty' looks at Shining as if awaiting a command and she says, "Ember, please!" Blazing Beauty says as it-no, she-prepares to use Ember, "Fenn!" She uses Ember, but I quickly dodge it, thankfully it doesn't set the wall on fire. Shining mutters, "rattlesnakes...missed..." She praises, "good try, Blazing Beauty, but sadly, you missed. But it doesn't matter, you're my partner anyway." Blazing Beauty rubs up against Shining and then jumps into her arms, causing Shining to giggle down at her partner's cuteness as she snuggles her partner's head against her cheek, her partner not minding at all, and she pets Blazing Beauty in between her ears, resting her head on top of Blazing Beauty's, and five female Eevees, a Pichu, Latias, a female Ralts, a Shiny Eevee, and a female Minccino come out of more balls on her belt. Shining greets each of them in a friendly tone and rubs them on top of their heads in between their ears, and Nebula gently places her arm around Shining's shoulders as she says, "wow Shining, you've got a lot more Pokémon than you did when I first met you six years ago." She replies happily, "I know, I know. I've been capturing them except Latias, because I rescued her from a Pokémon poacher, but when she was healed up and ready to go back to where she belonged in the wild, she refused to leave and instead became my very first legendary. I even saved up money to buy Latiasite, which is her respective mega stone. It's the orb holding her ribbon scarf around her neck. So long as she's wearing her ribbon scarf and I have my mega charm in battle, she can mega evolve on command once I touch the key stone." Latias bows her head to show off her ribbon scarf and Latiasite as Shining gently grabs her necklace and lifts it off her chest, revealing the key stone embedded in the pendant. Shining says as Latias flies in front of her later during a battle as Onyx sends out Latios, who has an identical ribbon scarf around his neck, but instead of Latiasite securing it, there's Latiosite securing it around his neck, "Onyx also has a key stone, which enables him to mega evolve Latios during battle. Mega Latios and Mega Latias are identical, but with their eye colors, you can tell the difference." Shining says later on during the battle as Onyx says the same thing in sync with her as they touch their key stones, Shining's being held by a glossy mega armband coiling around her arm with a piece jutting out containing her key stone, "alright, let's do this! Mega evolve!" An orange glow surrounds Latios and Latias and once the glow breaks away, they're revealed in their mega forms. I take out my hidden key stone and say as I toss Gengar his mega stone then touch the key stone, "mega evolve!" Nebula says as she has Audino hold her respective mega stone then takes out her hidden key stone and touches it, "okay, Audino, mega evolve!" Shining says as she places one hand on the back of Latias' neck, Onyx doing the same with Latios, "now it's a fair fight." Shining commands as Mega Latias looks back at her for a command, "use Dragon Claw on Gengar!" Onyx commands as Mega Latios looks back at him for a command, "use Psycho Cut on Audino!" Mega Latias' claws begin glowing as she readies them then soars towards Gengar, who I command quickly upon seeing the attack, "use Poison Jab!" Latias avoids the attack and slashes Gengar with her claws, landing a critical hit first try. Nebula commands Audino as Audino gets into a battle stance, "use Attract on Latios!" Onyx commands as Latios turns his head around, "ignore the Attract, Latios!" Latios nods and raises his clawed hands to cover his eyes once he turns his head back around to face Gengar, then Shining commands Latias as Latias flies back in front of her, "use Attract on Gengar!" Latias nods as she takes on an attractive midair stance and a flirty expression, looking straight at Gengar, then winks slowly at him, causing him to fall under the effects of Attract, then Shining commands, "now use Mist Ball!" Latias cries out, readies a blinding ball of light, then launches it at Gengar, the attack being super effective against him because he's half ghost, half poison, and after the last slash, Gengar faints, and Mangle says as her yellow eyes glow under her hair, "Gengar is unable to battle, Latias wins!" I call him back then send in Mismagius after praising him, and after a while of Latios attacking Audino and dodging attacks from her, Audino faints as well, and Mangle says once again as her yellow eyes glow under her hair, "Audino is unable to battle, Latios wins!" Nebula calls her back after praising her then sends in Wigglytuff, who cries after Latios and Latias return to normal and become distinguishable once more, Latios lowering his clawed hands from his eyes, "Wigglytuff!" I command Mismagius as Latios and Latias are recalled then Blaze and Blazing Beauty are sent out, "use Shadow Ball on Blazing Beauty!" Shining says as Blazing Beauty gets into a battle stance, "counter with Ember!" Blazing Beauty's Ember collides with Mismagius' Shadow Ball and creates an explosion, then Shining commands while Mismagius is getting over the shock, "take this chance and use Ember!" Blazing Beauty's Ember collides with Mismagius and depletes his HP, then Shining commands as Mismagius blinks in shock, "use Ember, rapid fire, until Mismagius is down!" Onyx commands as Blaze glares Wigglytuff dead in the eye, "use Slash on Wigglytuff, and keep going until Wigglytuff is down!" Both Pokémon do as commanded and use the specified moves, Blazing Beauty keeping up a rapid fire pace, and soon, Mismagius and Wigglytuff are down, and Mangle says as Nebula and I call them back while praising them, "Wigglytuff and Mismagius are unable to battle, Blaze and Blazing Beauty are the winners!" Shining says as she picks up Blazing Beauty, "you guys are pretty good at battling. Although this is our first double trainer battle. Surprises me that we won." Nebula says as she places one hand on Shining's shoulder, "it must have been, and it surprises me that you both won as well. You two are getting good at battles." The Minccino from before climbs up onto Shining's shoulder and Shining says with a giggle as she picks up the Minccino and holds it out in front of her, "hello to you too, Ashe!"
