remembrance and returning

Shining's POV: I wake up on Optimus' chassis with my hair spelled so I can drape it over me like a blanket and sit up then counter the spell and remove my streaks as my paled eyes return to normal and my bangs and hair smooth out. I remember. I say later on as Nightmare trots into the main room with Blazing Beauty, Sakura, Sylvia, Icy, Pichu, Snowdrop, and I on her back, Snowdrop and Allia in my lap to prevent them from falling off, as Koneko and Latias fly beside us while Blacky and Navasai walk beside us, "I remember..." Ratchet asks as he turns around and looks at me, "you remember what?" I respond, "I remember everything, even my family." Miko says, "awh, does this mean you're leaving Jasper?" I say as Nightmare trots onto the platform, "I'm afraid so, Miko. But you can still add yourself to my contacts list, and I can do the same for you guys." June, Jack's mom, asks as she comes up onto the platform, "what are you talking about?" Miko explains everything to her and June says as she hugs me goodbye when I dismount Nightmare, "I'm glad you're going back to your family. Good luck out there." She adds herself to my contacts list then adds me to her contacts list after giving my phone back to me and I remount Nightmare then bid everyone goodbye as Ratchet powers up the ground bridge to my family's location and Nightmare trots through the bridge with Koneko, Latias, Blacky, Navasai, and Sunset following, sending us and my stuff outside my family's house. I dismount Nightmare as my Pokémon do the same and lead my Arabian to her stall in the stable and return to the door to the house and knock on it, causing Onyx to answer the door and immediately bowl me over when I get inside. Mom, Dad and Mangle join the hug and we stay this way.
*that afternoon, 6:00 PM*
Shining's POV: the door opens to reveal none other than Nebula. I smirk as I get an idea and tackle-hug Nebula, causing her to yelp in surprise as she's knocked to the floor by me. She giggles and hugs me back as she gets up, bringing me with her, and rests her head on top of mine with a smile. Sakura lets out an "Eevee" as she jumps onto my shoulder, swishing her tail side to side. Nebula says as I tell Koneko to shut the door using Psychic, "I'm glad you're back, Shining." I hug her tighter as I snuggle my head into her armored chest and eventually I pull away as she smiles and she, Mangle, Onyx, and I head upstairs to mine, Mangle, and Onyx's bedroom. Nebula says as she sets her medical kit on my bed after I sit down, "you're up first, Shining!" We all jump when we hear mine, Onyx's, and Mangle's cousin Ares singing "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" and I facepalm then yell after Nebula, Mangle, and Onyx cover their ears, "ARES!!!" He shrieks and runs off to his big sister Athena. I grumble, "by the stars, it's so annoying when he sings that song..." Onyx responds, "I know, right?" Nebula chuckles in amusement and starts with my checkup, starting as always by checking my heartbeat with her stethoscope. She then checks my temperature, my breathing rhythm, my vision(with her medical light) and just as she goes to check my pulse, something happens and my heart weakens as my breathing becomes labored, causing me to get dizzy. Nebula notices and gently pushes on my shoulders, getting me to lay flat on my back on my bed, and checks my heartbeat again, quickly recording the results this time, then gets me to roll over onto my stomach, and she checks my breathing rhythm, quickly noticing that it's become labored and records the results. I remember chasing Miko into an unstable cave and getting trapped with Miko and Bulkhead when the roof collapsed, and I remember breathing in a lot of dust and falling unconscious afterwards. Nurse Darby gave me a checkup after we all got out of the cave and she said I was fine, but obviously I'm not. Nebula quickly gives Onyx his checkup and Onyx carries me downstairs. Nebula explains what happened to Mom and Dad and they nod in understanding. Sakura and Blackout, mine and Onyx's first Eevees, follow Nebula, Onyx, and I out the door as Blackout jumps on Onyx's shoulder while Sakura jumps onto my stomach, and I hold her in place with my arms as darkness starts to invade my vision and eventually, I pass out, my head resting against Onyx's chest, Sakura still in my arms, and I feel an armored hand being placed on the side of my leg and the other around my waist, then I'm transferred to a soft bed with what feels like a blanket on top of it, causing me to stir. I finally wake up when I feel an armored hand being placed on my chest above my heart and hear the steady beeping of a heart monitor, then look down at Sakura and realise I still have her in my arms. I let her go and she scrambles up to the pillow, laying down and licking my cheek to give me kisses and Nebula notices that I'm awake when she looks up from her notebook and sees me gently rubbing Sakura's head in between her ears, causing my favorite Pokémon to press her head into my hand, showing off her auto-adjusting Normal-type gray collar with a golden name tag that has her name written in Normal-type gray text hanging from it while wagging her tail. She says as she comes over, "oh, good, you're awake. Your parents are worried sick about you." She gently places an armored hand on my chest and tries to find the cause of my labored breathing, eventually finding that it was dust kicked up in the unstable cave from the roof collapsing. She sighs and shakes her head, her pigtails flipping side to side in the process, then tells Onyx to stay here then walks to the storage room to get something. She returns with an oxygen tank and a mask, so she's probably gonna treat the dust in my lungs with the oxygen mask. She walks over and places the mask on my face then sets the tank on the floor and says as she turns on the oxygen, "just breathe normally, okay? I'll be monitoring your breathing so I'll know when to turn off the oxygen." I nod and do as told, breathing as normally as I possibly can, eventually finding it getting easier to breathe normally the more oxygen I breathe in. Nebula watches closely as my chest starts rising and falling normally, quickly leaning down and turning off the oxygen then taking the mask off my face and smiling gently then she says sternly, "I'm going to keep you here overnight to keep an eye on you, so you might want to let your parents know." I nod and Onyx hands me my phone, which I quickly take and text Mom and Dad to let them know that I'll be staying in Nebula's medical bay overnight so she can keep an eye on me, and they reply back saying that it's okay with them and Onyx suddenly starts wheezing, causing Nebula to look at him in alarm. She gets him to sit down on the other bed in the room and checks his breathing, quickly realizing that he has coal dust in his lungs, which is not good. Suddenly, the power goes out, causing Sakura to cling tightly to me while shaking in fear, and Nebula says, "not good." Onyx commands as I get off the bed with one arm wrapped around Sakura to support her as Pichu jumps on my shoulder just as Blackout evolves into an Umbreon, "Blackout, Flash. Go with--*wheeze*--Nebula." Nebula says as she turns to look at me when she hears my solar system heels hit the floor as her galactic eyes illuminate and I let out Phoenix, my Ponyta, and Luna, my shiny Eevee, who evolves into shiny Umbreon once on the floor and the glow around her from her Luxury Ball is gone, "I suppose you're coming with me?" I nod and Pichu says, "Pichu!" I explain when Nebula makes a soft, quizzical noise as I place one hand in Phoenix's fiery mane and Luna uses her newly learned Flash move, "Pichu can get the backup generator working by using Thunderbolt on it. She is an Electric-type, after all." Nebula rolls her galactic eyes and gently takes my hand, her sharp fangs glinting in the soft monochromatic purple light of her galactic eyes, and we walk hand-in-hand to the backup generator, Blackout and Luna leading the way with Flash, Phoenix walking by my side, so I can see, my left arm still wrapped around Sakura to support her and Pichu still on my shoulder, then Blackout uses Flash on the backup generator. Nebula says, "mm, low power, it won't work on low power." I say as Pichu hops off my shoulder, Flame still by my side, "Pichu can fix that. Pichu, use Thunderbolt! Aim for the backup generator and get it working again!" Blackout suddenly gets tired, and I tell Sakura, who has Helping Hand in her moveset, "Sakura, use Helping Hand on Blackout." She jumps down to the floor and places a brown paw on Blackout's jet black shoulder that has a yellow ring to use Helping Hand to make sure Blackout can use Flash long enough for Pichu to see to charge the backup generator. Pichu uses Thunderbolt on the backup generator and swiftly charges it halfway before getting tired, and Sylvia runs in and places a brown paw on Pichu's yellow shoulder, meaning that she's using Helping Hand on Pichu. Sylvia's Helping Hand strengthens Pichu and said Electric-type charges the backup generator the rest of the way thanks to Sylvia's Helping Hand. Sakura removes her brown paw from Blackout's jet black shoulder as Nebula turns on the backup generator and Blackout stops using Flash as Sylvia removes her brown paw from Pichu's yellow shoulder and I return Pichu to her Luxury Ball then put it on my belt but just as we all go to walk back to the room we were previously in, a wild Popplio appears and prepares to use Water Gun on the backup generator, but I notice it and call Blazing Beauty out and command her, "Scratch, let's go!" Blazing Beauty gives me a confused look and I facepalm then add, "on the wild Popplio!" She nods and uses Scratch on the wild Popplio, successfully weakening it down to 1 HP somehow, then I throw a Luxury Ball at the wild Popplio, successfully capturing it. Sakura picks up the Luxury Ball in her mouth and walks over to me, depositing it in my hand like a good girl when I lower my hand to her height. We all walk back to the room we were previously in and I sit back down on the bed then let out my new Popplio, who I decide to nickname Shimmer, deciding to let out Pichu as well. My knee-length golden blonde hair with dark purple tips sprawls out underneath me as Nebula gently pushes down on my shoulders and I lay flat on my back, my new Popplio bouncing over and snuggling into the curve between the skin covering my ribcage and the skin covering my hip as she lays down and curls up. Nebula walks over to Onyx with the oxygen tank and mask in her grasp then sets the tank on the floor by the other bed and gently pushes down on Onyx's shoulders so he'll lay flat on his back, then she puts the mask on his face and turns the oxygen on again. Onyx gets the message and does as I did when Nebula used the oxygen mask on me, Nebula closely monitoring his breathing, turning off the oxygen when Onyx starts breathing normally again. Blackout snuggles up to Onyx in the same way Shimmer snuggled into the curve between the skin covering my ribcage and the skin covering my hip. Sakura jealously snuggles up to my other side and curls up as she lays down while wrapping her tail around her legs when she sees Shimmer snuggled into the curve between the skin covering my ribcage and the skin covering my hip, she has been on my team longer, so she's older and more likely to get jealous. I respond, "well, I actually gave her a choice, and she chose to become my Pokémon because she touched the capsule of the Luxury Ball I was holding in my hand with her little finger and she didn't break out, so she's my Pokémon now." Onyx lets out his female Vulpix(the Kantonian version, not the Alolan version) which he lovingly nicknamed Cinder and pets her head gently, causing her to say as she wags her tails up and down, "Vulpix!" Blacky howls happily as she wags her dark blue tail, so I scratch her head between her ears and talk to her in my naturally soft and gentle voice, causing her to wag her tail even more. Navasai props herself up, front legs on the bed and her back arched and licks my face happily as she stands beside the bed, making me say in between laughs, "Navasai, cut it out! That tickles!*giggling*"
