Shining's POV: I say as I work on my routine for the freestyle performance with Professor Kukui and Ash's friends watching me, "there's a Pokémon showcase coming up this week, and the theme performance, as Pierre leaked to me because I always keep a secret between me, Nightmare, and my Pokémon, is baking Poképuffs. My mom has been teaching me how to bake Poképuffs so I'm ready for the theme performance. And I must say all these lessons are paying off. Recently I've been able to make Poképuffs that my Pokémon and the other Pokémon in the family enjoy. Right Blazing Beauty, Shimmer?" Blazing Beauty and Shimmer cry in agreement, "Delphox!" and "Riinaa!!" Lillie asks as she slowly reaches out to pet my Delphox and places her hand in between Blazing Beauty's ears before stopping and looking at Blazing Beauty as if asking her for permission to pet her, to which my Delphox grants with a soft "Delphox" so as to not scare Lillie and so Lillie slowly moves her hand back and forth between Blazing Beauty's ears, "so do you think you could bake some now?" Blazing Beauty wags her pale silver tail back and forth as Lillie slowly gets more confident and reaches further to pet Blazing Beauty's ears, and I say as I unhook my legs from the icy monkey bars, landing on my hands, then perform a handspring and land on my feet, stumbling a bit due to hanging upside down on an icy set of monkey bars as all the blood rushes back down since it had collected in my head, "sure, I don't see why not. Just give me some time to get over this dizziness." Professor Kukui pulls up a chair and ushers me to sit down while saying, "you should sit down, it helps you get over dizziness faster." Once I'm fine, I stand up and head to the kitchen, where Shimmer is waiting with all the ingredients to make Poképuffs, and the others file in as Blazing Beauty walks over to my side. I decide to let out my Vulpix, Snowflake, and evolve her into Alolan Ninetales with the Ice Stone I got by presenting her to former chief Hanzo of Ninja Village. Once the glow fades, she's revealed to have evolved successfully into Alolan Ninetales. Sakura bursts out of her Luxury Ball and cries as Sylvia bursts out of her Luxury Ball, "Espe-Espe!" Lillie looks down at Sakura as my Espeon looks up at her, and Lillie slowly reaches out to Sakura and places one hand on Sakura's head, then rubs back and forth, causing my Espeon to slowly press her head into Lillie's hand and purr, then as Lillie slowly gets more confident, she starts running her hand down Sakura's back, starting at the base of Sakura's neck and stopping at the base of Sakura's tail, causing Sakura to purr louder, and soon, Sakura switches out with Sylvia, jumping on my shoulder as Sylvia walks into the place of her sister, letting her ribbon-like feelers flow behind her, and Lillie carefully starts rubbing Sylvia's head in between her ears, being careful of Sylvia's bow on her right ear so she doesn't accidentally make my Sylveon mad, then slowly runs her hand down Sylvia's back, starting at the base of Sylvia's neck, and stopping at the base of Sylvia's tail. Soon, Lillie is done petting Sylvia and says as Sylvia looks up at her, "you're so sweet, but I guess all Sylveon are like that because of their trainers' love for them." Sylvia says as her top two ribbon-like feelers return to their normal place around her ears, and her bottom two ribbon-like feelers return to their normal place beside her torso, "Sylveon." Soon, the kitchen timer goes off and I have Shimmer take the Poképuffs out of the oven with a balloon then set them on the counter so the balloon can pop and I set another batch in the oven, then I say as Icy uses her Frost Breath move to cool the Poképuffs, "it's important to make sure you let the Poképuffs cool if you're going to frost them or give one to your Pokémon so if you're going to give one to your Pokémon, it doesn't burn their mouth. The Poképuffs should be warm, and that means not too hot, not too cold. As you can see, Icy is using her Frost Breath to cool this batch. This is going to be the normal batch, no frosting or decorations at all." Lillie says as she lets Snowy out, "come on out, Snowy!" Snowy cries as she shakes off, "Vulpix!" Lillie picks Snowy up and holds Snowy in her arms so Snowy can see the Poképuffs. Kiawe asks as I set yet another batch in the oven, "why not have your Delphox help out? She is half fire, isn't she?" I respond, "well, even though she's half Fire, Blazing Beauty can't help out because she has nowhere safe to put her fire staff, and I'm pretty sure the house can catch on fire from the flame at the top of her staff, and her tail isn't bushy enough to prevent it from falling on the floor. So that's why she's just keeping watch of the timer." Kiawe says as Charizard extends one of his clawed hands to try and grab Blazing Beauty's fire staff, "Charizard can hold it for her, he's also half Fire, so the flame won't bother him even if it's close to him." Blazing Beauty decides to trust Charizard with her fire staff and lets Charizard hold onto her fire staff while she takes another cooked batch of Poképuffs out of the oven just as Icy finishes cooling the last batch Shimmer pulled out, then I set one more batch of Poképuffs in the oven. Blazing Beauty gently brushes the dark purple fur along her arm against one of Icy's ears to get her attention then sets the tray on the counter when Icy looks at her. Icy immediately gets to work with her Frost Breath when the tray is on the counter as I frost the second and third batches Shimmer pulled out and when the batch Blazing Beauty pulled out is cooled, Icy pushes the tray over to me just as I finish decorating the second now frosted batch Shimmer pulled out with edible decorations and set it aside with the other two batches Shimmer pulled out and I say as I gently pet Icy, "thanks Icy. Keep up the good work." Icy cries in affirmation, "Glace!" Blazing Beauty and Shimmer pull out the last batch and set it on the counter as I frost the batch Icy pushed over then decorate it with fancy edible decorations and set it aside with the other three batches just as Icy finishes cooling the very last batch with her Frost Breath and Charizard hands Blazing Beauty her fire staff when she turns to face him then Icy pushes the tray over with her dark turquoise paw and I say as she decides to rest for a while, "great job, Icy. Get some well-deserved rest, ok? Blazing Beauty, Shimmer, you two earned a good rest as well." They all preen in appreciation and I finish frosting the very last batch then decorate it with edible elegant decorations, and say as I place one hand on Icy's back, "there we go. That's the last batch." Lillie asks as Snowy looks at the Poképuffs in amazement, "is it alright if I give one to Snowy and see how she likes the taste?" I respond, "sure. After all, I didn't make these for nothing at all." Icy looks at me with a tired but happy expression and I pet her gently.
*a few weeks later*
Shining's POV: I take a deep breath as I close my blue and tea green eyes and let it out while opening my eyes, and soon, someone tells Jessiline, Miette, and I to get ready as we're up first and I decide that instead of 5 different batches, which tired Icy out a few weeks ago, I'll do one batch of five Poképuffs, one of each kind, and have Icy use her Frost Breath to cool the Poképuffs quickly once they come out of the oven, which hopefully shouldn't tire her out since there's only going to be five in the batch. Blazing Beauty walks over and soon, we're up. After a while, I'm already done and sit patiently while Jessiline and Miette finish off the batches they're making. While we're waiting, Icy climbs into my lap and lays down. Soon, the judges taste the Poképuffs I made with Blazing Beauty and Icy's help as I stand up after holding Icy securely in my arms so she won't fall onto the floor and possibly break a bone, giving a reaction that tells me they love the taste, then they taste the Poképuffs Jessiline made, liking the taste of the Poképuffs Jessiline made, then they taste the Poképuffs Miette made, liking the taste of those too. Of course, all of us advance to the freestyle performance, where Blazing Beauty switches out with Shimmer, and Icy switches out with Snowflake, then I command Shimmer and Snowflake once onstage, "Shimmer, use Moonblast, Snowflake, use Blizzard!" They both use the specified moves and then I command Snowflake, "now use Dazzling Gleam!" Snowflake somehow keeps her Blizzard going as she uses her Dazzling Gleam to create a shower of tiny stars, then I command Shimmer once more, "Shimmer, Hyper Voice, please!" She cries out as she jumps up and prepares her Hyper Voice, "Riinaa!" She cries as she blasts the tiny stars towards the audience with Hyper Voice, "Primarinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Snowflake looks up at me, so I command, "use Dazzling Gleam once more!" She cries as she uses her Dazzling Gleam move, "Nine-tales!" Soon, I raise one hand into the air, and say as Shimmer and Snowflake bow their heads and close their eyes, "we're finished!" My Pokémon raise their heads to the normal position and open their eyes just in time to see the voting taking place, and once again, I get the most votes, but I get votes from Ash and his friends, too, this time, and once again, I win a princess key. I say after the showcase, "thanks everyone. Knowing that you're all here for me helps me with my performance."
