Law 13 : The Hunt

“I’m Yuka ! Nice to meet you !”

Yuki’s body went pale , sending cold shivers down his spine. His head too shocked to even ask why. He felt a presence behind but did not dare to look back , keeping his eyes on his twin.

“Quite magnificent , yes?” Kami giggled from behind.

“Wha-What is happening?” Yuki asked the God.

“Go to the basement and we’ll tell you.” Kami replied “All.About.It.”

Yuki finally turned back. “Y-You !! Stop messing with me !” But the God was gone.

Yuka popped in front of Yuki’s face “Hm? Who are you talking with?”

“Ah…” Yuki remembered his twin “S-Sorry. It’s nothing. I have to go now , I’m really sorry !” He dashed home , leaving Yuka behind.

Why?

Why!?

Why is she still alive !?

With those thoughts in mind , he ran as fast as he could. Right now , he could very well imagine the God’s cunning smile.

In a dark room only lit by dim lights , a door appeared. The people who were there flinched and turned their positions from crouches to how news anchors act during a take. The door finally took a vivid form and from it , stepped out Kami.

“Aiya ~” Kami said “Seems like I’ve won the hunting game , eh?”

“That was not fair.” Pierrot pouted “I’m pretty sure you used magic.”

“Not really” Kami laughed “He simply prayed and called out my name.”

“Still cheating.” Pierrot said turning away his head from Kami.

“Now , now.” Lucifer stopped both. “We have a guest so why don’t we behave for today?”

“Ah , yes…” Kami realized , slowly turning his stare to the person standing at the corner. “Why don’t you take a sit?”

“It is an honor to be called by yours truly , My Lord.”

“Now , enough with the formalities.” Kami said , quite irritated. “You do know I hate talking with my children in that manner. Right? Dia-chan?”

“My apologies.” Diamond bowed “This is just how I talk.”

Kami sighed in hopelessness “Do sit , Dia-chan.” Diamond sat quietly. In the room are the two Gods , Pierrot and Diamond. Vierne was not seen anywhere.

“What is it for that you called me specially to have a meeting like this?” Diamond asked.

“It is quite simple.” Kami replied. “It is to inform you one thing.”

“And what could it be?” Diamond asked in wonder.

“Well , before that.” Kami offered him some tea “I would like you to investigate something for me.”

“I am at your mercy. Your wish – I shall obey.” Diamond said with absolute.

“Find me Belladonna.” Kami ordered. “Belladonna , the great reaper of souls.”

“As you wish.” Diamond lowered his head “But may I ask why you need to meet a grim reaper , My Lord?”

“It is to complete the things I need.”

“Understood. Then , I shall not question further.”

Kami smiled “Thank you.”

“Please do not waste such beautiful words on someone like me.” Diamond replied.
