Review: I must have read this a long time ago. For when I came across it again, I thought it seemed familiar. But I read it again, and fell in love with the story once more. Awakening to Life follows Alison, who is dying of an uncurable cancer. This book gave me so many feels: literally. I was crying and laughing through the whole thing, hanging on to the last page, even though I knew the protagonists fate was sealed the moment I opened this book.
Now, I'm not going to give too much away. But the ending made me cry buckets! Literally, I actually had that ache you only get when you're properly sad. But I persevered and by the end of it, I think I'd cried all my tears for the week. The author of this book really manegd to get into Alisons mind set and pick out how a dying girl might be scard and determined. A great read that I couldn't recommend enough!
