Elizabeth

Have you ever stopped and wondered if you hadn't done a certain thing, acted a certain way or though a certain thought, you would be in a completely different world or place. Well, I have, and my moment was the decision of going to the stupid mall. Going into that stupid parking lot.

So, here I am, back in Easton's room, with both of my hands tied together and then tied to the head board above my head. After he dragged me back here, me fighting tooth and nail, he convinced me to shift or he would hurt my brother. Some 'mate' he is. I then allowed him to tie me up.

'Lizzy, I'm afraid.' Lila says. I close my eyes and see her in my mind. A frightened tiger with her stupid human.

'You're not stupid, Liz, I chose you for a reason.' Lila says upon my previous thought.

'I still don't know why,' I say. 'I'm not special. I am not super strong or smart or beautiful.'

'I think your all those things.' Lila whispers. 'You are so brave and loyal to your friends and family. You never give up on anything and are stronger mentally and physically than any other human I've met before. We will get through this Elizabeth.'

'Thanks Lila.' I smile. I open and my eyes and scan my surroundings.

The walls are a dark grey and the floor is carpeted in black. There are beautiful glass doors leading to a balcony with an extravagant view of the forest surrounding. One door leads to an ensuite, another to a closet and the next to the rest of the mansion.

'Lila? Any ideas?' I ask while still observing the room.

'Hmm, I think we should get him to trust us so we can get out of these ropes, that's the first step.' She answers. I nod and close my eyes, pretending to sleep.

After several minutes, I hear the door squeak open and footsteps padding across the carpet. The unknown person goes to the dresser and opens a few doors before entering the bathroom and shutting the door. It must be Easton. I sniff the air and I smell cinnamon and pine. It's intoxicating.

'Lizzy, the plan?' Lila says.

'Right.'

I shut my eyes and even my breaths. Easton leaves the bathroom and I feel the mattress dip on the other side of the bed. I feel his hands against my wrists as he unties the ropes. I almost fall and hit my head when he undoes them, but he swiftly and gently catches me and lays my on the pillow. I gasp a little when his arm curls around my waist and pulls me into his chest.

Then I feel Lila purring.

'Lila what are you doing?!' I ask her while panicking at his proximity to me.

'I don't know he smells good and he... Oh gosh he's so warm.'

'Ugh, not helping.' I snap.

"Goodnight my queen." He murmurs into my hair. I take a deep breathe and prepare myself for what I'm about to do.

"Goodnight my King." I say softly. I can feel him smile into my neck. I close my eyes and immediately fall asleep in his warm, caring arms.

The next morning I wake up alone in his bed. I notice I'm still in my clothes from the day I was kidnapped. I know. Ew.

I slowly get swing the covers back and place my feet on the fuzzy carpet. I stand up and run my hand along the wall.

'Step One, halfway complete.' I tell Lila.

'Yes!' She yells in triumph. I laugh and notice a piece of paper on the bedside table.
