I was changing Sophie's diaper since she'd woke me up. We were in the Dominican Republic on vacation with my family since it was the offseason. Last month in June, I made it all the way to the mountaintop and secured my first NBA championship. That made me one of the few players who have won every level: high school, college and pro. That was something even my dad hadn't done and he was more happier for me than I was.
I could say that I was a better man today than I was last year. Sophie had changed all of that. Since I'm on the road a lot, I don't have many opportunities to spend time with her. So, I asked Farrah could I take Sophie with me to the DR. At first, she said no. But, now that she was a doctor, she had to think about it and eventually she said yes. I understood why she said no and I really didn't make a big fuss about it.
