Chapter 1

CHAPTER 1:

"Are you ready to meet the boys we've been waiting to meet since we were 13 years old?" Asked my best friend, Maya.

"Of course! Especially Carter!"

"Hah, I just want to meet Matthew!"

Maya, my best friend, is 16 years old and she's gorgeous. Long brown hair, bright green eyes, perfect white teeth, perfect clear skin, tall, skinny, and tan. She's the girl everyone falls in love with. Then there's me. 15 years old, short blonde hair, (but not super short), dark brown eyes, braces, glasses, short, and pale. I'm not even somebody's second choice, I'm like the last pick.

"Carter will never notice me! I'm too short and ugly for him, he's better off with Maya." I thought to myself.

In all my silence, Maya asked "hey, you okay?"

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine, just thinking."

"Don't be all sad and get too caught up in thinking you're not good enough, you are Haylei, you're gorgeous, don't let those brats from school tell you different."

"It's just shitty how everyone thinks I'm awkward because I fangirl and I'm not the prettiest color in the rainbow."

"Haylei. You're gorgeous and I'm also a fangirl. We fan girl together, we ride together, we die together."

"Thanks Maya, that was sweet. But I think it's time we find a hotel and rest. We've got a long drive tomorrow and then a long day after that!"

A few miles up the road we find a hotel and stay there for the night.
