Chapter 10

CHAPTER 10:

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out again before Magcon?"

It felt like Cupid just shot me in the ass with an arrow. I blushed. "I would love to." I spoke softly. "You don't have to be shy. It's okay. I won't judge you. You're perfect just the way you are." His voice was so hot. "Thanks Carter, you're amazing."

He hugged me for a long time. I was wishing the moment didn't have to end. "So, what do you like to do?" he asked. "Well I like to watch movies--" he stopped me. "No, what do you really like to do?" He asked. "I love going for walks, watching horror movies, and being with friends." I said softly. "You're in luck," Carter replied, "we're going to go watch a horror movie. How about Devil's Due?"

At first I wasn't too sure. Then I remembered that I get to cuddle with him.

"Sounds great." I said beaming with joy. "How about right now?" he asked. "Of course!" I beamed, "let me text Maya so she knows."

"Hey Maya, Carter just asked me to the movies and I just wanted to let you know I'll be gone for awhile. Have fun with Matt. Love ya."

The movie theatre wasn't far, it was just around the block. Since I told Carter I loved going for walks we walked to the movies holding hands the whole way. I didn't know what it was but when I held his hand, it felt like magic. I get butterflies every time I look at him. Love has never hit me this hard and I kinda hate how it has now. It took 15 years to get a good boyfriend. Or what I thought was a boyfriend..

"So what did you think of our date last night?" Carter asked sincerely. "It was perfect." I blushed. "Well I'm going to be sure to make this one even better." He sounded so determined.

We finally made it to the movies and got our popcorn then chose our seats. It didn't take long before I was in Carter's lap. I buried my head into his chest and he just held me in his arms. He makes me feel so loved. So cared for. He sees past my cuts and scars and loves me for who I really am. I couldn't ask for anything more.

The movie was finally over and we were walking back to the hotel. Carter said something that caught me by surprise and my heart skipped a beat.

"I'm lucky to have you as my girlfriend. You mean the world to me. I would do ANYTHING for you." He spoke in a gentle tone and then pulled me towards him and kissed me. It was the most magical moment. I couldn't help from smiling. "Thank you so much. I love you." He smiled and said "I love you too."

Shit. Haylei, what were you thinking? You didn't mean to say you love him but you're lucky you did.

I got over it. He said he loves me too and that I'm his girlfriend. This is the best day of my life. He walked me back up to my room and told me today was amazing and he couldn't wait for tonight. I smiled and kissed him goodbye. As soon as he left I shut the door and was so happy. I couldn't believe that Carter Reynolds loves me and is now my boyfriend and now I get to see him at Magcon. Tonight is going to be perfect!
