Chapter 9

CHAPTER 9:

Maya came back around 10:00 and woke me up by shaking me. I wasn't ready to see what I looked like now after what had happened over the past 2 1/2 hours, but I had to. I went into the bathroom to look at me. I redid my hair and makeup. Changed my clothes and decided to actually try. After I finished I thought I looked better than before. I was wearing a white miniskirt, a teal mid sleeve shirt, a white beanie, my bangles, and studded sandals. (They were Maya's, she let me borrow them.) I came out of the bathroom and almost dropped my phone in shock. Carter was in our hotel room holding flowers in front of him. He had a huge smile on his face and handed me the flowers. "You look gorgeous." he said sweetly, I blushed and replied with a simple thank you.

He grabbed my hand and led me outside of our room. He sat down and I sat down beside him. We were holding hands and he kissed my cheek. Then softly he said "I heard about this morning, and I wanted to make sure you were okay." I started to cry. I put my head on his shoulder and he held me in his arms. "I'm here for you, and I love you Haylei Wyre. I love you so much and nothing could ever make me stop loving you." I couldn't stop crying. It took tons of courage for me to do this, but what I did, I was proud of.

I lifted up my bangles and cried silently. "You can still love me? Even with these cuts and scars?" He stood up and then held me in his arms. "Of course," he replied.

There I stood, in the arms of the guy I truly love the most. The guy I only loved. Then out of nowhere he handed me something. "I got you and your friends these. I hope you like it." He smiled then hugged me even tighter.

They were VIP backstage passes to Magcon.

"Carter I don't know what to say,--" he stopped me, "You don't have to say anything. I would do anything for you Haylei Wyre, anything." I smiled.

After that he grabbed my hand and took me back inside. I handed Maya the pass and she thanked him. I didn't notice how happy Maya was until Matt pointed out how her smile was beautiful. I didn't even know Matt was here. Oops. I was too caught up in "Carter land."

Carter and Matt said they had to go. Maya and I both sighed and said goodbye. Carter kissed me on the cheek and Matt hugged Maya goodbye.

"See you guys at 6:00." Said Matt. "We can't wait." Maya blushed.

Moments later Carter texted and asked if I could meet him outside the hotel, he said he had something important to tell me. I got a little scared and started to hyperventilate. Maya told me to relax and take deep breaths in and out. It actually worked. I walked down the stairs to meet Carter, (elevators freak me out) there I saw him standing. He looked so happy to see me. I couldn't wait to hear the news.

"I have something important to tell you Haylei." he said. "Okay. What is it?" I asked worriedly. "It's okay. Don't freak out. It's nothing to be scared of. But I was wondering......"
