Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2:

That night it took me awhile to fall asleep. I didn't know what it was that was keeping me up. "Carter? What Maya said? What I was thinking? What could it be?" I thought aloud. I don't know if it was my thinking aloud or if she was still awake also. But Maya started talking.

"I wonder if I'll ever meet Matt. What if we go but I don't get to meet him and my chance flies right over me?"

I don't know if she was talking to me or not so I just stayed quiet. But then I heard a sound that I knew well.. She was crying. Since she's my best friend I crouched down by the side of her bed and spoke to her in a gentle and kind voice.

"Maya, don't worry. You'll meet Matt, I'll make sure of it too! I know this is very important to you so I'll make sure it happens."

She didn't ever reply, she started snoring, I guess she was asleep the whole time, so I crawled back into my bed and dozed off into a sweet dream.

I was at Magcon, I saw Carter over by the stage, I walked up to him and said hello. We ran a nice conversation and I could tell he was falling in love with me. Me! This ugly 15 year old short girl! I couldn't believe it was happening, then I woke up, and remembered it was all just a dream. A crazy, unbelievable, heart breaking dream.
