Darkness
I’ve always been taught,
A broken heart will heal,
The truth is:
It will not.
That summer I spent,
In a place so unreal.
All alone,
Darkness was all I could feel.
The darkness ate away,
My every last breath.
The black sea engulfed,
Everything I had left.
Heartache,
It only pushed and pulled.
Until every last piece of my heart,
Had shattered on the floor.
That summer I spent,
In a place so unreal.
All by myself,
Because I could no longer feel.
